What a bargain!!!

4Seven HD has been added off the VM EPG.

No sign of Channel 4 +1 HD yet.

These channels were initially Freeview exclusives in order to help fill the two temporary HD muxes and to drive take up of Freeview HD boxes, so this must have now come to an end.

I'm assuming that the satellite variants will be added shortly too

At least there will be something to look out for whilst it's so quiet

Just to add that I wonder if the test that briefly showed 4Music FTA could actually be a test for 4Seven HD??

I really like this thread and it's been going for years.

There are rumours/speculation that Digital Spy may be being cut back or even closing altogether.

In my experience, when forums (or any business) closes, it's often denied right up until a sudden closure with no notice at all.

Just in case this does happen, should we agree on another forum where we can all migrate to?

This one is my suggestion, it's run by Analoguesat who used to be a regular contributor here years ago:

it's almost certainly just Magic TV moving to the same transponder as the other Box music channels.

Motorsport Network a company based in Miami has bought Motors TV according to Broadband TV News. Reading the article it seems Motors TV will become an online channel only sometime in 2017. Could this finally be the end of the channel on linear tv? Just confirmed on a516.digital that Motors TV will become an online channel only in 2017. So keep an eye out for it's departure from all platforms next year. Looks like another epg slot up for sale.

There is only one version of 4Seven isn't there? I am not aware that 6 versions of 4Seven have ever existed.

If this forum closes but we don't have any proof of that yet do we?

It closes in March 2017.

There's just the SD & HD versions. 6?

Seen a rumour that E4 HD will go FTA next year.

There's rumours flying round the publishing world that Hearst are in trouble.

There will definitely be cuts and closures of websites & magazine titles.

Complete closure of the forums has been denied, but most businesses make out that everything is fine right up until the last moment so as not to put off customers, suppliers, advertisers etc.

Forums usually close abruptly and without notice, which is why I've suggested that we agree on somewhere else to meet in case this happens.

It's become more of a celebrity/showbiz site since Hearst bought it off James and the broadcast media parts have gotten quieter over the past few years; so if DS does survive, I imagine that it will be the cable, satellite, Freeview etc forums that go.

All I will say for now is that I will carry on posting here while it exists. There will probably be no problem putting it up somewhere else if that is necessary.

I'm sure that another forum would welcome this thread as it generates a lot of traffic, but how will people know where you've moved to (if it comes to that)?

Aren't you a mod on another satellite forum (or am I confusing you with someone else?)

Perhaps it could go on there if this one closes??

No I am not a mod on any forum. I took over this thread when the original poster stopped updating it a few years ago.

For now the thread will stay here but if this forum closes we can always move it to another one.

I do have an account on satellites.co.uk so I may put it there - but not yet.

Hope that reassues people for now.

Showcase 3 seems to be showing Property TV an hour later. Could this change to a +1?

It shows 'TV Cruise Channel' until 7pm so probably won't become a full time +1 channel.

Did these just pop up today and if so isn't it a bit unusual that they would appear on a weekend. Any idea what these are for?

Sorry I should have said they also appeared on Friday.

I was away Thursday into Friday so could not access the site. However, while I was away these appeared and I only just got round to checking them.

On 10.876 V there was a label "1079" for a short time which disappeared to be replaced by "2222" (which is SID 2222.

I have no idea what they will be but I would imagine that 2222 will be an HD copy of 22611 and 22612 will be a +1 of 22611.

We will have to wait and see.

Thanks for that jimbo. I thought with the Xmas freeze nearly upon us there might be a bit of a rush to get some testing in.
