1. The seriousness with which he makes all his moves, no matter how ludicrous they are.
2. The way he talks to himself throughout - he's not singing the words, or if he does, they are totally the wrong words!
3. The way he's prepared to be totally, utterly camp.

Go, Ed!

1. That he's on SCD and not in the House of Commons
2. As per point 1
3. As per points 1 & 2.

1) Can laugh at himself
2) Totally game for anything
3) The way he's clearly loving every minute

I would also add a mention in dispatches for Katya

1) He geuninely tries his heart out and is game for anything.
2)He doesn't take himself or anything said to him by the judges too seriously.
3)He's obviously having the time of life out there.

1. Beginner
2. Genuinely trying
3. Giving it everything

(I didn't approve of his pro-austerity stance but on Strictly he's generous)

1) The fact he's Katya's partner
2) He's brought out some inventive criticisms from the judges

3) He's sort of entertaining/endearing

1) He is trying very hard to learn the routines and they do have the relevant dance elements in them each time.
2) He gives 100% each time he dances.
3) He entertains me - and many others - every time he hits the dance floor with his exuberant style.

The fact tat he's prepared to make a complete an utter fool of himself...
At the same time he is learning to dance to the best of his ability.
He is so appreciative of Katya and what she is doing for him.

He is entertainment +++.

1) he is giving every single dance 100% and trying his absolute hardest to nail the choreography given to him

2) he has embraced Strictly completely, the tan, the costumes, the glitter, the campness, everything about the show, he is loving and you can see that on his face

3) he is a joy to watch and is clearly loving every single second and his relationship with Katya is just lovely

Another three from me:

1. He brings anticipation and laughter to the show, which is sorely needed in our present climate.
2. He is supported by Yvette, whose face is a combination of 'get me outta here' embarrassment and a strange pride.
3. How many chunky middle aged men would be willing to throw themselves to the floor and dive through Katya's legs?*

**OK, maybe not just Ed.

1) His eyes

2) His smile

3) The fact that he takes it seriously and gives it 100% while somehow not taking himself too seriously in the process. That's not something that everyone could manage.

Three more from me...

1. His relationship with Katya is fun
2. Was an excellent Oliver Hardy
3. I'm now the go-to person/supplier for my political friends who cannot bear to watch the show but still want to be embarrassed on behalf of Ed. They're extraordinarily squeamish about it all. I've never been the dance 'expert' before

1. The fact that he's not too big and egotistical to make and complete and utter idiot of himself.
2. That he makes me laugh out loud most weeks and in the week he didnt it was because I was stunned that he could actuallly dance a decent ballroom dance.
3. He can also back a decent cake as he proved on the charity bake off.

1. His Latin moves, especially the cha cha body rub
2. Being a wonderful partner for Katya during her first year
3. That he sent the politician to p-a-r-t-y ... Party!

I love the mincing gait he adopts for very latin dance, regardless of which one it is.

I haven't worked out if he's talking to himself throughout each dance, or counting - probably the latter. Whichever it is, it sets me off laughing near enough before he's even started.

I love his trademark pelvic thrusts!!

1) The fact that he's able to make a fool of himself, despite the fact that we're in week nine and he shouldn't still having to be making a fool of himself for votes.
2) The fact that he's genuinely trying, unlike those other scroungers who are doing eleven hour days and have improved much more than him.
3) The fact that he danced to a song which was last popular and culturally relevant four years ago and didn't retire out of embarrassment immediately afterwards.

Ah, that hadn't occurred to me - bet that is what he's doing! He must've been interspersing his counting with the 'ooooh-aaaaaahs' in the Love Potion dance.

How many hours training does Ed do? I would have thought he'd be up there!

Love this thread

1. Katya's trust in him (despite "that lift" ) speaks volumes for their relationship

2. 100% sheer enjoyment on his face whenever he is Strictlified or the word "Strictly" is mentioned..........what on earth will he find to replace this new found love when it is all over?

3. GB is behind him......seemingly for the first time ever.....but suddenly EVERYbody (near as dammit) loves Ed and can't wait to see what he does next!!

A sneaky 4........I bet when this experience is over his "dad dancing" will be just as bad as he said it was!!

1. When Ed and Katya are announced every member of my family moves to the edge of their seat in anticipation.

2. 'Ooooh Aaaah!'

3. Gangnam Style Salsa drop. Me and Mr Ochre's new party trick.
