Can never tell the difference between Emily and Sam

I can never tell them apart. Both have a similar albeit bland personality, and the same could be said with their voices.

I don't know about personality wise as much obviously, but Music wise they're very different.

I struggled for a while. Then came to know them as the "rock" one and the "John Lewis" one.

Haha this is mean but at the same time undeniably fun.

I don't know what's going on with Sam's voice. It seems to have gotten weaker. I'm wondering if she has maybe a cold? Her vocals weren't as weak as that when she was at the judge's house. Her vocals were quite weak last night. But yeah, Emily and Sam's vocals seemed to be sort of similar when they were at the judge's house.

That's because Emily's changed into this high pitched Janet Devlin/Diana Vickers wannabe.

I honestly don't get why the show has forced Emily into that area but they have considering they was a bit more on the Indie side.

And with Sam I think multiple factors hit her over the series, poor song choices from Simon as she went 6 weeks without no Rock songs, which for a Rock singer is gonna be hard for her to survive. Being a female aswell put her under more scrutiny by the general public, if you look on Facebook (which is more general public friendly) they never seemed to like her and wanted (without sounding too rude) frumpy Caitlyn at the lives instead who would've probably given out more or less the same performances as what Relley C was giving out, only weaker versions as I never rated Caitlyn, but Facebook conveniently did, oh by the way they also like Emily the most aswell who again without sounding rude looks younger than she is.

Oh and the final thing that hurt Sam is simple, she was too young, they should've told her to come back and mature, but when the more ready Christian Burrows for the Indie market was turned down I suppose they did end up making the right choice going for Sam as we did get the chance to see her turn Hello from a cheesefest into something credible.

Emily could be Edith Bowman's daughter and Sam reminds me of Jennifer Metcalfe who plays Mercedes in Hollyoaks.

One shouts/sings loudly and out of tune, the other one whispers/sings quietly like a timid little mouse.

I thought that they were really similar as well.

Sam wasn't out of tune at her first audition. I'm assuming "out of tune" means Sam?
