I think you have it the wrong way around. In my opinion she seems to be the one trying to "keep in" with him. I don't imagine he much cares who is favourite, he's just getting on with it and Scarlett has taken a shine to him. Which will do her no harm at all.

To be fair the Larry and Scarlett friendship is whats been all over my FB and was the talk of all the teens at where I work today. Was surprised i thought Larry would be more for the older viewer but the teens were loving him today - and my fiance fancies him a bit

My point precisely. Larry is popular in his own right, I very much doubt he has targeted Scarlett as someone to cosy up to. I have seen no evidence that supports the theory that Larry is making friends with Scarlett in order to gain popularity. He's making friends with everyone, as they all are.

Larry is old school. I don't think he gives a crap about games. He is being himself.

Larry is as lovely in real life - no fuss just gets on with things - doesn't do things for effect - and definitely wont play games to keep in with someone - in fact if anything its the otherway around - scarlet mind seem a bit dense but she knows who to align herself with .

I think it's the other way round. Ever since he saved her from the river he's been her hero, and I suspect a bit of a father figure. She was positively joyous at being made his second in command. I'm not saying that Larry hasn't got a soft spot for her, but then he seems to get on with most in there. I like what he did with Jordan, making him the cook and the way he got an obviously depressed Wayne to open up.

I agree Scarlett is latching onto Larry, she is a total damsel, I remember on gogglebox she asked her Dad to go round to her flat as she didn't know how to wire a plug and "that's what Dads are for"

She may well be the favourite to win (which is unfortunate and the one thing that is putting me off what started out as a really promising 'level-playing field' IAC) but the idea that Larry Lamb would be remotely influenced by this, let alone 'keeping in with her' because of this, is absurd nonsense.
