Oh well only 7 weeks or so until CBB so those who are bored already can enjoy watching low rent reality types screaming abuse 24/7

The producers were struggling to fill the show tonight, mainly it was tasks, silly games and trivial chit-chat.

Yeah tonight's was a bit of a drag.
The producer-manipulated U turns from certain characters were hurried out at the beginning, the task was easy and A&D held the guys hand through while he made fake scared noises that sounded like drunken Scooby Doo. It's always a slow episode when a man-child with a piece of grass prodding someone as a "prank" gets 5 minutes of screen time. |

I feel like they are really struggling this year to get anything to show. The tasks are too easy and quite repetitive. Is Martin hugging a tree the most interesting thing that has happened in there?

It's so limited cos 75% is trial stuff. |

Yep that was tonight's "thing that shouldn't have made the edit" that did make the edit.
Adumb with the piece of grass was yesterday's. Even early on we had Carol talking to the toad, etc. You wonder if they spend half the day sat in their bunks and hammocks just staring into space in this series. |

Heres an idea, why not send in a mystery guest with hair covered wearing a mask and they dont talk, but have to mix it and right down things to each campmate......might be insteresting. Maybe Dec who seems to look on contestants who have been in gunk like some leper, he draws back so far in case they want to cuddle or shake his hand, and wont even touch the stars............ yes Send in the Clowns.

They could do all sorts with this show given the format of them being in a camp surrounded by trees. But they never do anything really interesting.
They could scare the wits out of the campers in the night by making it like The Blair Witch Project, have a fake intruder wander in there, or just feed noises in there to disorient them. There doesn't feel like any true creativity with the show. This year the big deal is that they are using more creatures than they ever have before. Wowee. It makes no difference to me if they use 10,000 insects or 15,000, it doesn't mean anything to me whatsoever as a viewer. I wouldn't be able to tell one way or the other. |

I've loved this series but even I have to admit last night's episode was a bit slow. I can't help but wonder whether they've pulled forward the Immunity Challenge from tomorrow or even Friday's episode in a bid to inject some tension into camp. It didn't help that the trial was too easy with two of them - they should have just had one camp mate there.
I'm still enjoying it though but it certainly needs a little bit more zest than yesterday's episode. |
