In 2011, 7 out of 7 times they sent home the first person to sing
In 2010, 8 out of 9 times they sent home the first person to sing

Total 39 out of 54 sing offs they sent home the first person to sing, why???

Well, in any given sing off there's a 50% chance that the first one to sing will be sent home.

The producers usually stick whoever they want to go home on early and whoever performs first on Saturday performs first in the sing off.
