I upgraded my phone last week with 3 from samsung s5 to iphone 7. I rung up to have my old number transfered across but for some reason they transfered the wrong number. Rung up on thursday told it would be sorted in 48 hours but still nothing since thursday the iphone has had no service. Spoke to 3 chat they said the sim would be activated and could use it in within an hour and the number would be done in 48 hours. Couple of hours later still nothing except my samsung sim now doesnt work. Is the no service an apple problem or a 3. Has the iphone been done but i cant tell cos of the no service? Any help would be appreciated

I would try doing a factory reset of the phone - just to see if that helps.

Tried resetting it and removing SIM card still nothing. Would no service stop me from knowing if the phone number has been changed

Sounds like a balls up. You need to get this sorted ASAP or you could lose your number.

Well they said 48 hours they got just under 24 to go so will give them a ring then. Not holding much hope tbh. Is there a chance I will need another SIM card

Not normally as they pair the number to the sim number - you did give them the right number off the sim?

Yeah gave them the right sim number. Can't understand how it hasn't been sorted after 3 times of asking. I can't work out if the no service is a completely different issue

Which version of iOS is your iPhone 7 running?

I know earlier builds had issues with Internet connectivity due to Apple using Intel LTE modems but 10.1.1 AFAIK seemed to cure this issue.

Edit: worth looking through here http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/uk-iphone-7-plus-wont-connect-to-4g.1997617/page-31

Running 10.1.1 wouldnt mind so much if it was just the internet not working. But neither sim card is working on either phone
