She is very pretty and I don't understand all the hate she gets on here, while she is not as good as say Jane Danson she is a solid actress whose better than the likes of the actresses that play Izzy and Alya.

Danny is just an attention seeking moron, this is just because Danny Miller beat him to best actor. He's not even the best actor on his own soap, never-mind all of the soaps combined. Steve McFadden and Adam are on a completely different level. Infact, the only thing I've ever enjoyed involving Danny Dyer was the football factory.
I think McFadden is great as Phil Mitchell but not seen him play anyone else so cant really know how different he can be in other roles either. |

Yeah, shes decent but I hate Michelle with Steve, and I don't think it will be much bettwer with boring Robert either. God, I'm hating the Roberts of soapland lately.
![]() ![]() As for Michelle and Steve I think they are decent together but after the baby stuff comes out there is no coming back from that. I think Michelle and Nick could be a good pairing but with Nick's involvement in the break baby secret I doubt that will happen. |

Disagree. Danny Dyer might not be the greatest actor in the world but he's right he does have different roles movies included and they're not all Danny Dyer or Mick.

Steve McFadden is RADA trained. The idea of Danny Dyer being a better actor than him is laughable.

I think Danny Dyer knows exactly what he is doing by saying this.
However, like Shane Richie before him, Dyer clearly thinks he is bigger and better than the show. DTC, the biggest fan of his own work, regularly bigged-up Dyer/Mick as the second coming of Jesus so I guess this is to be expected. We've also seen social media hissy fits from actors who have recently departed the show (Sam Womack, Ellen Thomas) whose egos were also indulged under the DTC regime. No actor or character is bigger than the show and Danny Dyer will probably learn this the hard way. Not that I think it will happen, but I'd laugh my head off if Mick was killed off by Sean O'Connor. The likes of Steve McFadden and Adam Woodyatt are worth 100 times what Dyer is to EastEnders. |

Meanwhile ITV publicises two of its shows ( Emmerdale and I' m A Celebrity) by reporting that one ED actor has said something complimentary about another
Doesn't t that portray a much nicer image? This article must have been sanctioned by the BBC press dept so either Danny Dyer is an idiot and the press people need to be aware of their own brand, or they don't t care about him and the BBC being badly represented. If he chooses to adopt this persona I can't t see how, as an actor, he's doing himself any favours. Yes he brings attention, but don't t give me that ' all publicity is good publicity' guff. How can it be if you want to be regarded as professional? |

I read this interview yesterday and was shocked, I like Danny but to speak about your fellow co-stars like that is rude. If Sean last's until the end of next year I can't see Danny's contract being extended, after that fight with Mark Wright he has been unusually very quiet on Twitter ... probably warned by tptb.

When I think of acting range, the first person who comes to mind certainly is not Danny Dyer.

Is Mick the family man the same character he played in his movies? Is Mick the character you envisioned Danny Dyer would play in Eastenders?

He certainly won't get Corrie or Emmerdale. Neither will tolerate that childish, spiteful behaviour. |

So why didnt he branch out? He doesn't want to or he's not being offered other roles? Phil is great, McFadden brings a lot of intensity and presence to the screen but you have to do other roles beyond soap before you rubbish someone else who has.

With this range talk, you would think we were discussing Meryl Streep. |

Danny Dyer presumably took the role of Mick to show he could play the family man as well as the hardman. Apparently the producers had him in mind to play Carl White, but he had concerns about being typecast as a gangster. If he did leave now I doubt he'd struggle for work, EE has clearly raised his profile.
But why would he leave when he's clearly on to such a good thing? He's already said he sees EastEnders as his "retirement home". The comments about Steve McFadden and Adam Woodyatt not branching out look even more silly in that context. |

Just because he's not playing the exact tough guy he plays in his movies doesn't mean he has tremendous range. Mick isn't an especially demanding role and he isn't required to go to the places emotionally that Steve does while playing Phil.

Danny's whole persona is that of a cocky, arrogant cockney bad boy. He gives these interviews to drum up publicity for the show, and for himself, and it works. Not every celebrity wants to present a nicey-nicey image. So long as he's not hurting anyone, who the hell cares? It's not like we don't all revel in the rivalry between soaps on here.
We have no way of knowing what he's like behind the scenes but given the amount of co-stars who attended his wedding, I can't imagine he's as disliked as people on here make out. |

Maybe this is a misunderstanding.
Perhaps the interviewer heard "Phil Mitchell" instead of "Phil Daniels". If that's the case then I definitely think Danny Dyer is right to compare himself to that esteemed thespian. |
