I watch The X Factor but I'm passive about it really. I've watched since I was a kid but don't feel invested in it. Don't watch it live normally with it being a Saturday. But so many people on here say "it's fixed", "it's so manipulated", "they're all talentless", "this show is a joke"...
My question is, if you hate the show that much and take its contents so seriously as to get genuinely upset about it, what makes you come back and watch it?
I'm not judging, I'm just really curious because it seems like people are really hurt by the show, believe there are all sorts of conspiracies to 'pull the wool over their eyes' but continue to tune in every week. I'd just like to understand what motivates people.
