Now I apologise if this is obvious to everyone else or if I've missed a thread elsewhere but...

I have a feeling Lee's exit will be suiside as it's been said a lot on here that his depression has not appeared to be handled well - which might actually be the point and lead to him committing suiside.. This would also explain this slow build of worries Lee has been having - with the wedding, finances, life after the army, baby olivers accident etc.

It would also pave the way for a very plausible tempoary exit for Linda who may have to leave to area, unable to cope with living where her son killed himself!?

Anyone else getting this vibe or think this would an incredibly powerful story?

no, guess it will be as you write - or - they take Ollie to the doctor again - there is something wrong with him - which can be sorted in the US of A - so off she goes with him.

Whitney is behaving like a total arsehole putting so much pressure on him knowing he's suffering from depression.

I don't mean this in a horrible way, but I have a feeling that Lee is going to commit Suicide.

There was the stuff with Baby Ollie's Accident, Whitney having a miscarriage, he's getting bullied at work and he has depression.

But she doesn't know that he's not coping, he's putting on a brave face and pretending he has a better job than he does. He's going out of his way not to show her the mask is slipping, she can hardly be at fault for that.

Lee is going to commit suicide, I am quite sure of that now.

The ramifications for the Carters' will be immense.

He is losing all hope and the end will be swift in coming I fear - as an army bloke he will know how to kill himself correctly although I think he will probably be found hanged.

Also I think that must be one of the most difficult jobs for a copper when they find a suicide that has no family and who has been there for days (or months).

I agree, Lee is not being truthful with Whit, she asks him to put a deposit on a home, & all he says is "OK"

Yes, like Sean Slater did also, he is likely to just disappear into thin air after all these setbacks......

I'm definitely leaning toward suicide. How much more stress could a young man take, although so much of it is his own doing. Why doesn't Whitney know what he earns? Why has nobody except Whitney picked up on how strange he's behaving? I'm so bored with the story now, that I don't care what happens to him.

It would be great for SOCs era if he did commit suicide as that would get everyone talking again and interest back up but I've a feeling they will just send him off with Linda to get better.

I agree, I think over the next week or so the full extent of his problems will be revealed and Linda will do a Tanya and leave with Lee to try to get him help.

That gives Linda an excuse to leave and take Lee with her. She is due anytime now so guessing she stopped filming earlier this month or last month so I think she will be off screen well before Christmas.

I'm finding Whitney so irritating at the moment, she just wants everything now and handed to her on a plate! Even if Lee had got a high flying job they would still need to save for deposit etc and that insufferable rubbish about her demanding Lee ask for an advance; he has been there for about 2 weeks love! If she's that desperate for cash she should get off her backside and get herself a full time job, this is 2016 they should both be working.

While I think suicide for Lee is a possibility, Kellie Bright is now on maternity leave as far as I'm aware, and Danny-Boy Hatchard is still filming. So unless they filmed Linda's response scenes before she went, I'm not sure this is exactly how it will play out.

I hope so. I really like and feel for Lee. I wish he'd confide in his mum. Taking his mums bracelet is far from the best thing to do but depression can do this to people and do stupid things out of desperation because you are not thinking clearly. I really hope Lee overcomes this. Maybe the exit could be similiar to Lauren's when Tanya left and Linda goes with him to a special unit like where Stacey went.

I agree and she knows he suffers from depression. She needs to stop being selfish and stop piling on the pressure. Linda likes having them around anyway so they don't even need to move out.

People should know not to pile on the pressure with depression or anxiety regardless if they are putting on a straight face. Anyone who does is seriously stupid.

I think Lee committing suicide is possible, but Danny Boy Hatchard was seen filming NYD episodes so Linda will be gone by then. However this is how it'll most likely work out:

Lee continues to struggle with depression for the next few months, with even more setbacks. Perhaps he will lose his job?
Linda will leave in the coming weeks, to go and look after Elaine (remember when she went off with Mick a couple of weeks ago to look after her? It's obvious they're gonna do that for her temp. exit)
Cue Lee's suicide possibly around Easter or early Summer (whenever Keller Bright is due back), prompting Linda to come back possibly with Elaine. Although it'd be better for Linda and Lee to have a final few scenes together so maybe have her back before the suicide

Please lets not have Lee's depression the only storyline until Easter!

Wouldn't be surprised if it was completely tragic, like Lee ready to jump off the Vic, Whitney finding him and telling him she's pregnant again, him changing his mind but then slipping off

That was my assumption too
