HO John Paul's blindness
Has to be the most miraculous recovery from a serious illness I've ever seen in soap! One day he could suddenly see blurriness and the next day he was walking around without any trouble at all! & not been mentioned since haha! Just wtf?!

It would have been nice if they had taken it seriously, but in the end it was just a plot device to let James realize his feelings for JP, or whatever. |

No one can be injured for too long in any soap, The writers can't be bothered to keep up the continuity so they all have miraculous recoveries.

To be fair it was only temporary as the doctors said his vision could return or it could not. Plus he wasn't blinded fully abd still had some sight

It's impossible to take anything involving John Paul seriously anymore. I stopped watching Hollyoaks after the whole 'rape' thing. I only dip in and out now and every time I do I notice just how much of a joke this once fantastic character has become.

He is more interesting now than he has been for a long time - i think the thing with JP is that he works best with a good partner and they've found that in James.. When he was with Ste, Doug and Scott he was just drifting
Last time I caught an episode John Paul was with the hideously awful Scott, which made turn over straight away! |

JP did start regaining his sight in time to see Mac attack James. If anything, it's the HO continuity team who sight is slightly lacking.

Yeah like when Jack Branning was shot in the head in Eastenders- his recovery rate was ridiculous! |
