On her twitter she has put that she is ' heartbroken' by ALL the lies today...so obviously no paper is telling the truth.

Did someone buy you a shoehorn for your birthday?
Brilliant.

People will believe what they want to believe.
So true and I'll believe what I saw on ITT on the following Monday.
Laura clearly had her arm around Gio's neck so I cannot understand where this alleged 'frostiness' is coming from.

If they all gave up on Twitter and concentrated on their work, all this conjecture about nothing would cease immediately.

Yours sincerely

If you choose to sup with the devil, you need a very long spoon.

Another observation from A Boring Old Fart.

Yes, anything to sell a paper or get a few clicks.

If you cannot get a story, then make one up. Some will always believe it.

She then sent another tweet saying "tweet is not about Dan's article. Sorry if I didn't make that clear x"

I think someone said that she sent this clarification tweet following tweets from Dan which I think have now gone, now that she's backtracked.

Dan being Dan Wootton from The Sun.

I just remember the strange pout Laura wore throughout their last performance, like she was hiding gritted teeth - it actually distracted me from the dance itself.

Can I throw in a wish for Tristan to return, please
The first sentence 😂😂😂😂

You are SO right. I just checked back as I couldn't remember any problem with them either. They are totally fine with each other. No artifice, perfectly happy, as can be seen here.

From the same source tho last week complained that the judges were "furious" about Ed Balls, the contestant who got 440,000 YouTube views in four days. I wonder what made up tosh we'll get next week.

One of the IAC producers and Mark Jefferies from the Mirror have publically tweeted in support of Laura and how lovely she is to work with, seemingly realising how damaging the Mail allegations could be to her professional reputation.

Whoever that Mail source is ought to be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. Accusations of bullying and abuse are not something you throw around lightly in the tabloids.

Professional reputation tarnished and friendships lost all because Laura was uncomfortable in the artificial situation others put her in? I'll be very disappointed if noone from Strictly speaks out in support of her.

The Daily Mail are known for slander. Many years ago they wrote awful things about the Redgrave/Richardson clan. Joely Richardson sued The Mail successfully. Their published retraction - one tiny line lost amongst the paper. I've no idea how they get away with what they do.

Isn't it appalling how this rag can make headlines out of lies by claiming its from a source .

I agree Ochre. In particular, a BBC Strictly press quote is quite overdue.

The S*N is full of lies, would never believe anything written in there. Remember the lies told as "The Truth" regarding Hillsborough. Still waiting for an apology after 27 years.

There probably is an element of truth to it, I thought like most that they had a professional relationship which produced a couple of competent routines, for most of their time on the show. There defiantly was a problem during the last week which may have been because of his twills or for other reasons.

Interesting to see if she turns up to the final, I'm sure that they will make the most of it, get through it and never contact each other again.

Is it damaging to their professional reputations. Maybe, or it may be forgotten about in the next week or so.

It's a "photo opportunity."

There's that many so called presenters in this world competing for jobs, that to miss being seen by over 10M, would be a bad career move.

Cynical but probably right. I'm sure she will plaster a smile on her face and count down the seconds.

Accusations of bullying and abuse aren't something that's just forgotten about.

@thewhitmore 1 of the best people I work with. 2 sides to every story. Beautiful inside & out with a huge heart who always puts others first

Mark Jefferies ‏@mirrorjeffers 2h2 hours ago

@sarahttv @thewhitmore 100% agree. Always been lovely whenever I have worked with her and went out of her way to help me in Oz last year.

Yes, indeed. I stopped reading as soon as the OP said that the Daily Mail started the rumor.

Garbage tabloid "journalism" at its finest.

I've never liked Giovanni and his smirky, slappable face.
I know it's awful to say but I feel exactly the same! Something sleazy / weaselly about him. I took agin almost instantly.

Any accusation about Giovanni being rude would probably disappear soon enough. Accusations published in the Daily Mail about Laura being a 'bully' 'abusive' and a 'nasty piece of work' would almost certainly stick.

She'll turn up to the final regardless of whether there's truth to it or not because she'll be contractually obliged to and she's never struck me as anything less than a professional.
