Best 10" Android tablet to buy? Advice please!
I currently have a Nexus 10 and it is getting a bit long in the tooth, so I'm looking for a more up to date replacement tablet with a 10" or larger screen, running Android OS.
The two on my radar currently are the Pixel C or the Xperia Z4, with the Galaxy Tab S2 as a third choice, but I don't want to commit that sort of dosh if I've missed a better option or there is one about to be launched. The only real 'must haves' are 10" screen, capable of running Marshmallow and possibly also Nougat and a price tag of <£500. All suggestions/advice welcome! |

the z4 I bought came with a bluetooth key board which I think is standard and it up dated itself the other day and is now on 6.1 which I believe is marshmallow. A nice bit of kit and very fast. I've not regretted buying it.

What are you going to be using it for? To me it sounds like you just want a change, rather than anything fundamentally being wrong with your existing Nexus 10.
I'm looking at something larger for my son, he's got a Hudl 2 and his mum hates seeing him read on a small screen. We are considering some of the Galaxy Tab A models, 10", around £200. Seem like a pretty good device. |

The Huawei Mediapad M2 (10" version) is worth a look at its current price point - not sure if it's got a Marshmallow update. The M3 is great but I believe only cones in an 8" version.
A word of caution for those looking at bigger tablets for more readability - look at the resolution and pixels per inch (PPI) as a bigger screen at a lower resolution won't necessarily make small text easuer to read - an 8" 1080p display may be sharper than a lower res 10" tablet's display. A hands-on look is highly recommended whichever tablet you favour. |

The display is (2560 x 1440) QHD display, the only problem is that it is not quite A4 size so I still have to pan the page a little to see it all at full size. |

Seem like a pretty good device. Only gripe is as someone who uses their tablet almost exclusively in landscape mode the Tab A is seemingly designed more for use in portrait mode. The speakers in portrait mode are both at the bottom, so when used in landscape mode are both on one side, so not the best for stereo reproduction but not a deal breaker. |

I just bought the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) to replace my ageing (5 years old) but trusty ASUS Transformer. Really like it so far, very nice screen, good battery life (but fairly slow to charge), very quick and responsive, no bugs identified in the first week of use.
I previously used a Hull 2 on which the battery life is awful, but the Samsung battery life is excellent. |

Just a heads up in case you're interested in the Asus ZenPad, Currys has £40 off bringing it down to £259.99. Online only but you can reserve and collect.

I have a Nexus 10 too (bought in the week of its original release) and gave it an extended lease of life by installing CyanogenMod 13 (Android 6 aka Marshmallow).
Later on, I bought a Galaxy Tab S 10.5" (yes, CyanogenMod is on that too because I can't stand Touchwiz) which has a *stunning* display (noticeably better than the Nexus 10, which was already good). A word of caution: don't buy the Tab S2 - it has a worse resolution, a smaller screen and a stupid 4:3 aspect ratio. If there's ever an S3, it'd better go back to widescreen! |

Yes, despite being over 2 years old the Samsung Tab S 10.5 is still a great tablet. It only has 16GB on board but a 32 or 64GB SD card is very cheap
The Tab S3 is due out in the next few days: http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/s...ews-cases-2016 |

Another vote here for the Galaxy Tab as best android tablet. For what its is worth, a friend who works for a well known retail chain says they have relatively very few returns on the Samsung Galaxy but lots for all other makes of android tablets.
