Electric Pressure Cookers = Are They Safe?
I've always liked pressure cookers but the thing which puts me off them is how unsafe they are.. so saw the electric ones on the shopping channel and wondered if they are much safer? cooking a casserole in a quarter of the time seems appealing for "the person around town" like myself..

If they was not safe they would not be on sale. Pressure cookers you put on the hob was safe, My sister had a pressure cooker for years, one of the older ones with the weights on the top, never had a problem with it.

Electric Pressure Cookers are brilliant especially Instant Pot from Amazon. I have one at home, one in my holiday home and one at my MIL's. Honestly could not live without it, use it at least once a day depending on what we are eating.
I bought my son one 18 months ago and he loves it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...ds=instant+pot You can buy cheaper ones but the Instant Pot can be a pressure cooker, slow cooker, steamer, yogurt maker etc. |

This is not so on an Electric one - sometimes on the electric ones you don't loosen the valve until the pressure has released by itself. |
