Trying to connect my mac to my brand new tx-40ds500b. Has anyone managed it ? All my settings on the laptop are correct as it works on my friend's tv but not mine. No sound or picture. This leads me to believe it is the tv settings but I've tried everything in the manual. Help !

It would help if you told us how you are connecting the Macbook to the TV, Presumably via HDMI? I assume you have done the usual things like making sure the Macbook has detected the TV as being connected and that the correct HDMI input is selected on the TV?
