Is anyone else getting frustrated that there's nothing exciting happening, it's so boring and this new approach isn't working, I find myself switching of most the time.

It's a good job there's only three episodes this week, then!

Quite a few of them started by the same OP, too.

There is plenty happening (including but not limited to)

Jay's troubles
Phil's heath issues
Lee's depression
Denise's pregnancy
Massood's departure
Stacey and Martin's money troubles
Ronnie and jack's upcoming wedding and Roxy feeling she is being pushed out
Kim's driving test.
Steven's 'shady' business

plus just starting are
The Xmas Panto
The 10th anniversary of Pauline's death
The School stabbing

so a lot going on to keep anyone interested without the need for OTT sensationalism

There is plenty happening (including but not limited to)

Jay's troubles bored of this
Phil's heath issues bored of this
Lee's depression only good s/l
Denise's pregnancy not really bothered
Massood's departure bit he should just go as he's been and gone so many times.
Stacey and Martin's money troubles not interested in the slightest
Ronnie and jack's upcoming wedding and Roxy feeling she is being pushed out I can't stand any of these three
Kim's driving test. seriously?
Steven's 'shady' business about as shady as a tin of magnolia paint

plus just starting are
The Xmas Panto not interested
The 10th anniversary of Pauline's death I couldn't stand Pauline towards the end of her tenure on the square so Derek doesn't evoke positive memories for me
The School stabbing this is intriguing

so a lot going on to keep anyone interested without the need for OTT sensationalism

Thanks ArthurJBear for a chance for me to vent my opinion on your post. Plus, I'm glad you're enjoying it

Is there any need for yet more threads on this?

If you stop watching - cool. That's your prerogative, but you don't need to tell the world every day.

There's plenty switching back to the show since April/May and many others praising the new direction - so I don't think the BBC nor SOC will be concerned.

And this is the reason I've stopped watching, and I've watched since the start.

Yeah I agree with him especially in relation to Lee's depression story which has been gold in a beautifully realistic manner

I agree about Lee's depression but Kim's driving test? That's surely going make people tune in.
