Ronnie was gone for 2 years. Roxy didn't get any better.

I can't agree with Simons being a better actress than Womack but if it's any consolation they're both crap nowadays

I agree with nickymonger

There is little build up with their exit. It was written as a BIG storyline. Take Lee's story which has been going on for months to a year for example. That's a big storyline. Not drowning in the pool.

Even if its related to Jay's drug story, that's his story, not their storyline. If its to do with Roxy feeling like a fifth wheel then will this lead to Ronnie realising Jack is getting in the way of the two of them and the leg it off to Ibiza with the kids - fake their deaths to stop Jack from finding them. But would Ronnie do that to Jack?

The problem is at the moment there is not much build up to anything (other than Lee's plot). I am glad we don't exactly know what will happen because its under wraps but Masood's exit, whilst nicely written was a damp squib. Derek returning, whilst good to see him again, isn't exactly giving me goosebumps.

If you are going to kill off R&R at least make it an big impact on them as characters and at the end of a great storyline
