Yvonne Atkins, Natalie Buxton and Pat Kerrigan were my all time favourite characters. Bad Girls was a gripping show and I loved all the plots especially Fenner's downfall. Bodybag's scenes were always a scene stealer

I used to LOVE this show when I was younger.

Yvonne was my favourite. I had just started secondary school when the character died, and it really freaked me out for weeks. It was so eerie, and when her body was discovered. Shout-out to the Helen/Nikki storyline too, which I thought was fantastic.

After series 5 for me (its best series, in my opinion) was when it all started going downhill.

Genius, gripping and sometimes hard hitting show. But series 8 was a parody and an absolute joke

I do miss it though. One of the great ITV dramas. It could be a high of revived. But doubtful at this stage. It's been 10 years.

CBS Drama (channel 149 on Sky) repeat two episodes of Bad Girls every evening from 10pm. Tonight (21/11) is Series 5, episode 16 - the episode in which Yvonne gets locked in the hanging cell. It is followed by the first episode of series 6.

I have been to Oxford many times this year and have visited the castle/prison where outdoor scenes were filmed for series 1 to 4. The whole area has changed a lot since the days when Bad Girls was filmed there, however many of the locations are still recognisable. The actual prison itself is now an upmarket Malmaison hotel.

A few 360 degree images from Google maps:

The recreation area: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.75...!7i7168!8i3584

This area is where I believe the prison garden scenes were filmed: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.75...!7i7168!8i3584

The front entrance (entrance gate seen in the series to the left hand side): https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.75...7i10240!8i5120

I would highly recommend visiting and it's around an hour on the train from London!

Bad Girls has been the source for a number of characters on EE, some of whom appeared before BG started.

Currently EE has Linda Henry who was Yvonne, and Kellie Bright played Cassie Tyler in series 3 or 4.

Both the Julie actresses were on EE too, as was Sharon Duncan Brewster (Crystal in BG, Trina in EE).

Nicola Stapleton was in EE long before BG though she was brought back in 2011.

Ditto Sid Owen.

Absolutely adore Bad Girls, especially *SERIES* 1-4.

I'd love to see a reboot but only if they can nail it like Wentworth.
