Fergie never did marry Prince Harry.

I wonder what mad had to say about yoga? Maybe he drew a picture.

I like to relax late on at night reading some of the stuff. Or generally severely chilling out.

Which is ok. As I do it too. Sometimes I even read the threads in bed, have a belly laugh at some of the posts and then sleep relaxed

No, there are larger and more active ones. And the rumours are not about downsizing the forum, but actually closing it.

Forum admin have said there is no plan to close it. That might be right (although they woud have to say that if they are trying to rescure or sell DS), but it can't have much of a future. The forums have been abandoned in terms of development (running very old software which is never updated) and DS itself can't surely be that profitable.

That is usually where I am, either laying on bed or in bed with the TV low volume on the tablet. Sometimes interacting and having a laugh in twitter while others are engaging in American politics.

Most times it is hard to get to sleep with so much laughter.

Last answer was interesting. https://uk.answers.yahoo.com/questio...9062249AA8zzsZ

Why is there no list to tell you who and how many are on here?

wow, and that's on a global scale. the rest of the top 10 doesn't seem very much to do with everyday life in the UK, so that must make DS the UK's biggest and most active forum...

I get and fully accept that the mods themselves cannot make comment other than post the official line but I'm hearing from an ex moderator that the site will be making compulsory redundancies before Christmas.

its sad if true but we must all remember we can moan about the forums going but it's also peoples jobs and financial security, nothing lasts forever though, Facebook will die a death as well someday.

So you're saying that Google's not a great website?

I'm not sure I believe that the first few are nowhere near as active as here. I'd have to see the analytics. Does DS even have a football forum? (I wouldn't know.) Or an active business forum, or motorbike forum?

I've heard that DS has, or had, the UK's largest Big Brother forum. I don't think GD ever earned that accolade though.

I think a lot of you would be lost without these forums. Within days you'd be wandering the streets, wandering the local shopping malls. Sitting on the public seating eating a Greggs pie hoping a familiar face walks past lol.

I've lurked a couple of times but they were as mad as a box of frogs and the layout with quotes seriously did my head in.

I really hope the forums here don't close. Even though I mostly lurk I enjoy the banter. The TV and soap threads are great and there's a lot of friendship here.
I'd say I spend three quarters of my Internet time on here and I'd miss you all a lot.

Will it? Nearly every site is injected with Facebook. Corporates have such huge investments for it, as is advertising and business. Media/News/Sports are hugely invested in it. The stock market and shares. I don't see Facebook going anywhere in a long long time.

According to Campaign, DS' parent made £5.4 million loss in past year. It's closing Reveal.co.uk and Sugarscape.com completely as well as All About Soap magazine with a loss of 50 jobs
