Missus has been on Orange for years. I was too from the early days (07973) but went off to other lands for a while. Anyway, finally decided to go for an iPhone SE on business with their 'Best Selling' tariff. Lovely. Great deal. Got a call from a guy and said I would like to add a sharing SIM for the missus and he said that was fine, just give them a call.

I did. Turns out my 'Best Seller' was actually a promo (mis-selling) and instead of paying £38 a month I would have to pay £52 in order to add a sharing SIM. I rightly kicked off and after hours on the phone and some intervention they agreed that if I paid the 'proper price' (WTF?) then I could have a sharing SIM at £10 and would get a £15 discount per month. OK. Whatever. Guess what, next bill, no discount but they have managed to put my bill up to £52. So that'll be another 3 hours on the phone then. Pissed off.

Now, the sharing SIM. This is the second time we have tried to transfer Missus' old number to the EE sharing SIM and they've borked it both times. They are blaming Apple now which is BS. I put her old Orange SIM into an unlocked Android phone and it's dead. I put her new SIM into an EE iPhone and it doesn't ring.

Meanwhile we are paying both the sharing SIM cost, not getting my promised discount and also her old contract at £35 or so a month. They said they will apply a 'discount' to compensate. Like Fukk they will.

Bandits.

Sounds like a complicated situation. If you can't get anywhere with your issues over the phone, I suggest you make an official complaint with a letter.

The timer for the Ombudsman will start counting

Looks like they may have finally sorted the PAC code thing. But we've paid the extra SIM and the Orange contract for at least 2 months and I have no discount that I was promised on the other matter.

Show me the money.

How long does that last before it goes up in price?

Agreed. Plus if you have broadband also with EE you have an extra 5GB of data per month added to whatever plan you have.

In my 10+ years with Orange/EE I've never had a customer service problem. Just guess when you're unlucky you're unlucky

I've found EE customer service to be very good, except a few live chat agents who are still based offshore. The UK guys are great.

It would be unusual to be limited, EE offers are almost always open ended.

I've been with them since around 1997 as one2one, T-Mobile, Orange and EE, never had any serious CS problems.

Though I did take them to CISAS once (and won), but it wasn't on a CS Issue...

Some of them reduce the amount of data at the end of the contract but afaik, they never go up in price except for the RPI.

I have just enquired on the EE live chat about upgrading my existing 16GB £19.99 SIM Only plan to the one on offer for 20GB for £25 per month which is good value for money i think anyway, well they only went an offered me 40GB of data, unlimited mins, texts and EU voice mins, texts & 15GB of roaming data for £24.99 a month!! =)
Wow! What a deal!
I was in a similar situation but they offered me the 30GB plan for that price. I don't think they have 40GB in SIM Only, unless they can offer an additional 10GB as an add on for loyalty or EE broadband.
