It would be really nice if Pierce killed Paddy.

Great message from the florist, seeing is how it looked like it was typed on a typewriter from the 50's... or did Liv ask it to be in Ariel Bold font size 12 when she called

I think when you order on line you put your message in a box and that's how it's printed.

I concur, Pierce needs to finish off Shrek.

Is Pierce meant to be a villain? 'Cause Paddy just come across as a petty loser to me who can't deal with the fact that Rhona left him - for good reason if I might add. I mean imagine being Pierce and knowing that your dead wife cheated on you with a Dreamworks animation character, must be hard to take. Can you blame the guy for being a bit insecure about Shrek/Rhona.

Yes. This has to happen.
I am waiting for Pierce's rage to turn so bad, that he goes full on Hulk and wakes up behind the Woolpack in just a pair of ripped shorts surveying the damage he has done in the street... and then runs off through the fields with the Hulk theme tune in the background, never to be seen again

Quality post Teeks. It's important to remember that Paddy is the villain here.

Thanks.

Cheers, Mr J.

And maybe I'm being greedy here, but I'd love Pierce to kill off that lanky giraffe Marlon too. Two for the price of one and all that. But maybe I'm asking too much.

It's quite clear that Rhona has her doubts about Pierce and that she still has residual feelings for Paddy.

I'm pretty sure that Pierce will turn out to be the villain of the piece and Paddy will, in the end, be the hero.

Yes, that's what I'm convinced will happen too.

No way will Emmerdale let a long-term regular like Paddy end up as the bad guy, although they're doing a pretty bad job of showing him as the"hero" at the moment. Pierce's insecurities will escalate into full-on villainy and he'll leave via prison/death to make way for Paddy and Rhona's reunion. And Paddy will get to beat his own drum and tell everyone "I told you so" about Pierce. If it wasn't so obvious, it'd be tragic.

I actually think Rhona and Pierce make a decent couple, why not keep them together instead of resorting to this cliche storyline? I'm not sure why she'd still have feelings for Paddy after the way he humiliated her.

Rhona & Pierce could have worked, I agree. However, they're too far down the road with Pierce being a controlling abuser for Rhona & Pierce to have a happy ending.

I have to say that, thus far, they're handling the story quite well, as a portrayal of that kind of abuse.

So do I. My favourite characters. Proper Emmerdale.
Pierce is unhinged and detestable.

Okay, but can we kill off Paddy at the very least?

You can't have both of them. It's not fair.
