Kush is the most underrated character in EE!
Seriously, Kush is an absolute gem of a character. That lovely scene tonight with Masood demonstrated what Davood Ghadami is capable of, but I think his talent goes under the radar a lot of the time and he just doesn't get the recognition he deserves. You never really hear people talking about his performances but I find him so effortless and natural in every type of scene, be it comedy, drama or romance.
I'd love to see a really great storyline for Kush in 2017 that cements his status as a proper leading man on the show. |

Yes, that was a nice scene tonight. He did shine in the stillbirth scenes.

Ghadami is one of the strongest male actors on the show atm.
So is James Bye. Dare I say male characters (apart from Phil and Ian) always play more of a supporting role to their female partners. I'd like to see Kush and Martin both get their own storyline for once. |

The fact that characters like Kush and Masood flounder without their female counterparts says it all- while Stacey's lost Bradley and was fine as a character, Kat's a better character away from Alfie a lot of the time etc. EE has always been better at writing female characters. I mean, it's quite refreshing in a way because in most media, it's the opposite, but it'd be nice to see a balance. |

I agree OP, he's a good character played by a good actor and he's not exactly hard on the eye either lol!
I thought him and Denise were going to be a very interesting couple until until they decided to sprog her up with Phil Mitchell's baby *roll eyes* . I would have loved to have seen Carmel's reaction to her 'little boy' going with her best friend But really need to use Kush more instead of having him on the sidelines all the time. |

I don't think he's underrated at all. Characters just have dips, or are sometimes relegated temporarily to casual/background characters, which is where he's been recently - chatting with his mother, and bantering with Martin. It happens.

I have always liked Kush and yes he is gorgeous plus the guy can Act too. He shone during the aftermarth of his baby son being born stillborn but since Shabnam left he has been underused.
I hope they use him much better in 2017. |

I've always liked Kush, but I think he was damged by the Arthur storyline. So was Stacey, but the show has put a lot more effort into fixing her.
I liked the Denise and Kush pairing. Hopefully that hasn't been dropped altogether. |

Thinking about it, people tend to discuss his looks more than anything else (which the last few posts on this thread show.) He hasn't been given a decent storyline in ages so he's underrated by the producers as well. His storyline with Denise was looking promising but it appears to have been dropped (although admittedly they could still revisit it at some point.) I just want to see a bit more Kush love. Davood has just quietly got on with portraying this character brilliantly and I think he deserves more praise.

I always thought Kush and Roxy would have been great together but with Roxy leaving that is not going to happen now.

He's probably the most natural actor on the show. Almost wasted on the market. He could have been brought in as a new alpha male to take over the club or something.

I don't really mind him on the market but I agree that he'd suit a more dynamic place on the square. It's a shame that the boxing gym set seems to have been quietly dropped because I always think that would have been a decent setting for him. |
