Courtney or Grainne should have been fired
The sales of the low priced items were pointless, winning or losing the task came down to who sold the more high ticket items
How were neither of them called back into the boardroom? |

Probably because they've been better over the course of the series.

Karthik is the only one I remember pulling off a task winning performance (selling the gillets on the cycling task) |

How were neither of them called back into the boardroom? They basically did sell, Claude even applauded them for it, only the credit check bounced (nice for that guy, going on nationale television with that). If it hadn't, they would have won them the task. |

How were neither of them called back into the boardroom? The other subteam of 4 had as many chances to sell as the other team - but had the wrong products - and didn't sell as much - so blame could be attached. Courtney isn't much use, but had won, poorly, as PM. It would be difficult to send him home without sending Grainne too. Grainne is a strong candidate who just hasn't performed at full capacity yet - as is Trishna - and there's too few of those to send one home. . Alana has been saying smart things for weeks, and had won as PM. Karthik is pretty useless, Samuel just isn't vey bright, and won as PM with a dismal performance , and Dillon looks very limited . There were 3 people who had no reason to stay, so 2 went. |

Had to laugh when Courtney said that so far he always had been in the winning team.
He's one of the weakest candidates in my opinion, so he must have a brilliant business plan. I don't mind Grainne. The only one I really want to leave now is Sofia |

Those two will make Final Five, guaranteed.
Resting bitch face or not, Grainne is the only candidate this year who has any sort of semblance of professionalism about her. Courtney however has been totally useless thus far and should count himself lucky he's rarely on the losing team. |

There were 3 people who had no reason to stay, so 2 went. I like Alana and wouldn't blame her for the failure of this task but it was pretty amazing how she turned on Samuel once in the boardroom. It was as if Sameul was supposed to have sold everything himself because he's a salesman. End of the day, he worked with what they had and he sold the most out of all them so it was pretty poor to undermine him for that. Dillon is probably the only fair person (not that this will get him far) because he could tell Samuel wasn't to blame and he wasn't going to throw him under the bus just to save himself. Upon reflection I'd have fired one of Grainne/Courtney and Karthik. If we can't fire that pair because the credit checks let them down, then Dillon would join Karthik. |

Because Courtney actually was a PM in practice rather than just on paper...

I disagree. Courtney and Grainne did all the necessary preparation but the sales just didn't happen (and it was out of their control)
You just couldn't assume that had they not spent too much time preparing they would have sold one jetski. |

If they had sold what they sold, but which they didn't because of the failed credit check, would they have made over £40,000 and won the task?
Or would they have still lost the task anyway? Does anybody know? |

They originally pitched them at £16K for 1 but had offered the guy a discount to make it 14.5k if he bought 3 or 4 I think. Even at that price they would've destroyed the other team and won. Imo the editing was really bad. I think we should've seen the conclusion of the customer's discussions with the dealership. What was the final discount and commercial warranty? It's all very vague and I'm not convinced the reason the deal fell is because of a failed credit check.

Also the client thing was a bit random and not really fair. How do we know some of the clients weren't sure things and had already decided to buy and some were just vague enquiries who were unlikely to buy. It would have been fairer to start with a blank slate and say they all had to sell to passers by ... were the couple ( the man who said it was like a hot tub ) a pre organised lead or passers by? They seemed like passers by in which case it was a good sale.

Failed credit check probably means the buyers changed their minds, not that the banks bounced their cheques.
I should know, as I work with a credit check company for the dealings at my workplace. And if otherwise, don't call it a credit check. |
