I think the real point that Claude was making was that they had all their eggs in one basket and should avoid being complacent.

But they were complacent because when the got the "sale" they thought it was a done deal and so looked no further.

So they were poor imo and should at least have been in the firing line.
Well I'm not sure if they were lying but they did say that after learning about the items in the morning they did engage with passersby in the afternoon though we didn't actually see much of that.

I was surprised Grainne at least wasn't called back in as the sub leader once Karthik had been fired but I think that was Dillon's fault in that Grainne picked Alana and Samuel I think and Dillon picked himself and Alana so in the end those 3 came back in.

I think LS had to sack Karthik and Samuel. The former for being utterly out of his depth and the latter for his history of lying, doing his own thing and allowing failure in order to protect himself. I think Samuel's saving grace was his supposed happy and nice demeanour but he was actually very manipulative and dishonest and not remotely in a good way that would help a potential business partner.

As for Grainne and Courtney I think taking past form into consideration as LS said he was Courtney should have been fired out of the pair if one had to be. He looked out of his depth as Project Manager too like Karthik but was just lucky in that his side won.

One other thought regarding Dillon, why was LS and the rest calling him nice I'm sure I've seen an edgy side to him and even in this task he took that sale for Alana. It may have originally been his but the way he went about taking it back didn't make him look nice

That's somewhat true. I guess they should have pretended to make an effort to sell to passerby's when Claude's around.

My recollection is that previously when the PM has been fired before the final 3, the sub team leader took the position and had to choose two people to return with them to the boardroom. On that basis, the final 3 should have been Grainne plus two others.

However, I'd disagree with either Grainne or Courtney actually being fired for this task. They were professional, worked well together, understood the product and dealt well with the potential leads. I'm not even sure the criticism they did get for not trying harder to sell to passersby was fair, as ensuring that they were familiar with the product was critical. Frances and Sof, in comparison, were both awful and, so far as I could tell, got very lucky to make any sales.

Karthik obviously had to go as he seemed to do nothing right. Personally I would have fired Alanna as well. She seems very good at identifying issues but doing nothing about them. Case in point was the discount on the boards which she mentioned immediately after the guy had left. Why didn't she ask herself?
agreed on that. I was surprised when LS asked Dillon who else should be brought in; but in that case, who else would have Grainne brought back? I'd say that she still would have brought Dillon, and everything would have gone down the same.

Had to laugh when Courtney said that so far he always had been in the winning team.

He's one of the weakest candidates in my opinion, so he must have a brilliant business plan.
I don't mind Grainne.

The only one I really want to leave now is Sofia
Agree with this.

Courtney is a very weak candidate IMO.

Grainne was been pretty good up until this week.

The week just gone Courtney looked like he was half asleep. That isn't meant to sound too critical. Sometimes the early starts and long days (I assume that's genuine) can catch up on one or two people, and you can tell they have run out of steam.

If he is in the losing team next week I expect him to be the one that goes.
