Why are people saying that Danny won the public vote nobody that I know voted for him because they can not stand him also they have never heard of him until this series.

I wonder if AJ or the producer had the sense to slow it down a few bpms?

One factor in Ed’s favour which is often overlooked is just how good Katya is. She is my favourite professional dancer this series.

Well I know at least a dozen people who voted for him.

Personally I'd prefer Rob Rinder to go next week followed by Ed. I wish Rinder had gone this week as his arrogance and smugness is really beginning to bug me!!

Well, my television screen says something else.

It really will boil down to who has what next week. I suspect it will be heavy on Ballroom dances as there is the Cha Cha Cha huggermugger dance, which will show up those who have learnt style over substance.

They have a good partnership. She never looks put out that she has the weakest dancer.

I think she's great. She has never, once, shown any sign of irritation at being paired with the worst celebrity ( dance wise ). Others could learn a lesson from her.

Plus she has worked hard to teach Ed, rather than allowing him to be a complete joke contestant.

I do hope she is back next year.

^^ This! Hope she gets someone very good next year if she's back (which I hope she is). Done very well with Ed.

Me too. I like her and Oti. Both have a good partnership.

And give the judges a chance to bin those that they don't like early on, and keep in those that are their favourites (cf. previous danceathons)

Trouble is, the judges choices tend to backfire if they are not broadly in line with the publics perception.

I don't dislike Louise but she must be getting a few votes from hubby's football pals. I want Claudia to win, if not Louise but I have never thought of her having lack of confidence.

Speaking of the Cha Cha Cha-athon, I miss the madness of the earlier normal human being danceathons (ie. Swingathon which actually made sense), where the judges would eliminate couples throughout the dance. I don't know why, I just loved how dramatic it got and the pros sulking if they felt hard done by.

By the way, we still heard nothing back from you about your 'supposed' evening at the ballet presented by Ore and Darcy that you were supposedly going to report back on, after you set up a thread to purposely disparage Ore.”

I like Ore. he is not my favourite and in the early stages I found him irritating, but as you appear to be following me, you will doubtless have seen my post last night saying how nice he looked.

Yes, I attended Anastacia and saw Darcey in the Floral Hall. I did not see Ore at all. However, I had recorded La Fille Ma Garde and saw his performance. Much better than expected but for my tastes, and those of other ballet fans on a baller website, he is not rated. Ballet is still a minority taste and we would appreciate a dancer or choreographer in the role of presenter. But was he okay - yes.

But by the same token, Ed could be getting votes from the political elites!

I am enjoying Louise's dancing and I like her quiet humility. She has also made Kevin likeable showing what an excellent teacher he is when he isn't partnered with someone like the brash Kellie Bright

Have to agree with you ...really used to like him but really do not now.

When Gethin interviewed him on Friday (or rather tried to) his attiude was terrible...really hope he goes.

It's doubtful but I'd love the Cha Cha Cha-thon to go back to that madness purely for the competitiveness it would bring out in all the pros. It'd be more fun to watch them sulking as they're asked to leave the dancefloor rather than everyone dancing together all the time.

Agree...when others like Russell Grant and Ann Widdencombe were on, there dance partners were happy for them to become the joke of the show...she has got Ed to dance and though not fantastic he has made much improvement.

Definately. Those days were so much fun

I like Louise and I like Claudia but o think both their pros aren't doing the fantastic job that Katya and Oti are in adapting their choreography to their celebrity.

The last two are better partnerships.

I have no idea how you can come to that conclusion. If Ed got to the final (and I don't think he will), it will be because the viewing public voted for him and wanted him there.
And, just maybe, we might get a better variety of people taking part in the future if they think they have a chance of staying in a while and actually learning something new, rather than feel they don't stand a chance against all the celebs who can already dance from Day 1.
