I agree! The worst thing is the producers probably think they're being all clever by introducing some drama to the camp, but it was wonderful the way it was.

Not all of us want to see hate and crying all the time; we want to see lovely human beings doing fun things.

Which is why I've turned off Big Brother - because it's so hateful.

I've never liked him but he's doing ok so far. Loved the way he stood up to sore loser, whinging Martin.

Danny Baker's a nice bloke. I listen occasionally to his saturday morning radio show on 5 Live, and he's very entertaining.

He's not witty as such, just very freindly when he's on air, and he never stops talking. He always hands airtime over to the public when they phone up, and lets them waffle on about whatever they are talking about.

He does big himself up a bit from time to time, but he doesn't go overboard.

I never saw last nights episode, which was his first edit, so to speak....but, I think he'll be a good campmate, not a trouble maker.

The stuff he said in the live trial was completely non-malicious mucking about. It was the homes under the hammer bloke that went a bit crazy over nothing.

Me too and as a result of that I was looking forward to seeing him on IAC. I find his show extremely entertaining however it is kind of low key and more about nostalgia and his amusing and as you say friendly way of speaking with the public that call in than him being a great comic or entertainer.

I've found him to be more or less the same as he is on his show thus far. I'm certainly not disappointed with him.

He annoys the f*&^ outta me; always has done.

I've always liked Danny, from when he was writing for the NME, through to his radio work and writing in general.
I like the way he seems to be able to talk on any subject and make it interesting and most of all very funny.

I've got tickets to see his show next year, which should be interesting.

He was also one of the most influential writers the NME ever had. His writing style is still evident in the music journalism of today. Not to mention being a three time Sony radio gold winner, and writing for everyone from Jonathan Ross to Ricky Gervais. But I guess you should only value your worth on what you are best known for, eh? What are you best known for, Kill Jester? Is it posting on a Digital Spy forum about a crap reality tv show? Because if so, by your own standards you really are not in position to lambaste anyone for their "contribution to popular culture".

As for your comments about drinking with Gazza, not only are they inaccurate (he rarely went on drinking binges with Gazza, why do you think it's always the same picture the tabloids use when they bring it up?), but they'd still be incredibly stupid even if they were correct. I hope you've never been out drinking (having fun) with anyone who 20 years later becomes an alcoholic, or I might have to deduce that you "helped enable their tragic slide".

I was quite looking forward to seeing Danny Baker in IAC, but I'm finding him really irritating, almost as much as Martin.

I think he's got such a joy for life, perhaps that's because after the cancer it feels like a second chance I don't know. He's really coming across well. Hope he stays in a while.

Have to agree, the man has been through a lot recently, all the best Danny, you should never have left so early with some in there, one in particular who has done nothing.

It is a shame but he had a good run. He got stuck in, stirred things up a bit, did some great trials, kept his sense of humour and had the full highs & lows jungle experience, which is what he said he wanted. And now he gets to have a relaxed holiday and still enjoy the rest of the show so I think he's probably pretty content.
