If you're currently on any ROM that isn't BTU you won't be able to upgrade directly, you'll need to flash BTU via ODIN and you will lose data, as you'll need a factory reset to change the CSC to BTU.

If you're on BTU marshmallow, the upgrade to nougat BTU wont lose any data.
I'm already on BTU Marshmallow firmware so that's good news! Can you guys confirm if VoLTE works with the Nougat BTU Firmware please? if so I am flashing tomorrow!

Only the sites that are cabled up for L08 will broadcast it. Quite a lot of sites will still be L18 until L08 is cabled up.
Outside of London only around 1 in 4 sites are 800 capable at the moment.
Expect some minor network disruption starting now, until the middle of next week in many areas.

Lord Lucan I presume that you mean remote software upgrades rather than actual engineers visiting sites to do upgrades

Largely. Some sites are still being upgraded ahead of soft launch.

In my area, there are 9 EE 800MHz masts, about 40 1800MHz and 11 2600MHz. The 800MHz masts are all very high up, mostly on the top of tower blocks.

I have done a video on EE 800MHz switch on, including how you can work out it's imminent based on the locked down nature og the 800.

I'm still waiting on my local orange 6 sector mast being upgraded ! 3G was switched off from the mast a few years ago so only broadcasts 2g. There is a t mobile mast beside it broadcasting 2g and 3G. It's a weird set up and nothing seems to be getting upgraded.

There is a weird mast on the A11 outside of Attleborough that still has the legacy Orange antennas yet has 3G & 4G now using the T-Mobile network code BUT is using the Orange network code for 2G...

And what is the proportion of 800 capable sites within London?

Yea my Orange legacy mast broadcasts 3G on 30 but 2G on 33. Still no 4G even though it's in a city inner suburbs!

This sounds like there is going to be a lot more than 3,800 800mhz masts?!?

Pretty sure it's a soft launch.. Many sites won't be live until later in the month/early Dec anyways.

Still seem to be able to connect my LG G4c with three VoLTE software to some EE 800mhz masts, only by manually forcing band 20, it kicks up a bit of a fuss though with a data restricted message.. It must be a rogue 1 or 2 masts though otherwise EE have a lot of work to do around here as coverage is so weak its no good to anyone..

Not this early I wouldn't have thought, the coverage checker is doing weird things though
