But that was a misrepresentation of what 3 did.

No one would complain if 3 actually told the truth and said "it'll take a while and we're doing it this way, sorry for the wait but we don't want to disappoint". What they actually did was lie and obfuscate the facts.

Announcing a list of "4G cities" and then actually not bothering to turn on a good chunk of them. Of those that did get "turned on", they considered it job done when one cell site within the city limits was switched on, even if only about 10 people could use it. Being unclear with how they were doing the process. Ask three different CS advisors, get three different answers, none of them being correct.

Others were annoyed about their constant banging on about "4G at no extra cost" even though it showed in both a lack of coverage and performance.

EE aren't saying too much - and that's fine. 3 were the opposite. Making big fanfare about it and then turning it into a damp squib.

They'll get it sorted soon enough. Can't wait really. It is a big deal for many people but I agree there is no point going mental on forums. It's not going to change anything (much).

The great thing is that all networks are really pushing it out now and in a couple years we will have a much better choice. Especially us rural folk who often have only 1 of them which is any good or have to pick whether we want good calls or good data etc. I reckon by the time my EE contract runs out in 2018, all 4 will have pretty damned good 4G coverage of the South West.

We don't dislike you Georgi so please chill and play with us nice!”

I do play nice and I think my english is good enough. Because my name is not english it does not make me less english than you so please do not get on that one. I will stop when everybody does stop. I treat everyone with respect. My posts are normal. So please stop all this as it is not going anywhere. Better get on with the thread

My comment about the use of the English language was not derogatory as I picked several common typos or grammatical errors to where English is not spoken as native language. This was no way meant to be any comment about who's more English than the other and I actually take offence at your comment. I speak fluent English and no other languages and I respect and admire other people who are multi-lingual.

This is the last post I will refer to your comment. It's not related to the topic, nor is it polite, or conducive to positive forum conversation.

Apologies, I was ambiguous - I meant it confirmed that the update was deliberately switching on the 4G Voice and Data setting as most people were reporting - I have no comment to make as to whether this is linked to any delay.

You can also add users to your ignore list which will prevent you from seeing any of their posts and messages they may send you. Please alert and ignore when you see a bad post. . I did not beg anyone to read my posts did I? Guys just as I said stop it as we are just waisting the thread and time. It is not gonna go anywhere

This thread will be so confusing if we all ignored. But it's a good idea. I've never used ignore before. Let's give it a go.

Nah I tried it and it doesn't help.

Look Georgi, no one wants to fight or argue, a lot of the people who are a bit grumbly I've know for what feels like quite some time now. 800 will come but the posts every 3 seconds with no new information and nothing constructive are at best annoying and when I'm in a bad mood downright weird because you sound like you have ADHD or something like that.

Sure you bang on about how you have a right to post and whatever and it's very true, can't really argue with it and I don't morally agree with trying to ban you or silence you because I do believe this is a good place for discussion, but at the same time can you not see how what you're doing is not helping anything or anyone and it's not going to change anything? It'll launch when it launches. You can bang your drum and you can stomp your feet but it doesn't help and it doesn't add anything.

Can we all just take the heat out of this thread and calm it down a bit? Otherwise I'm going to have to go and find a new hobby, basket weaving or alcoholism or dogging or something.

LOL! Great alternatives - I have first hand knowledge of a couple of those listed!

I think we're just saying that it isn't worth going crazy at EE, there is no contractual obligation to provide 800Mhz, as many pointed out there's no guarantee they will turn your local area on even at any certain point in time even if you did get a quick blast of 800Mhz a few weeks back.

I think it is highly likely they will be in change freeze for a few weeks now and that it'll be a good number of weeks before it finally settles down and rolls out, but there's no burning immediate need for it really, you managed without it for x number of years and it really doesn't change the way you consume the service that much, nice to have yes (I'm in the same boat with Three over 800 handset support) but you'll probably get access in January with a bit of luck.

There's a local club that do all those things at the same time here in Devon. Only thing is you have to wear scuba gear while doing the other things. If that's a problem then it's maybe not for you.

I was upset that much as on 23.11 I was getting it the 4G800 and then I stopped receiving the signal. That made me angry. In that area as soon as you get inside no service and when I saw band 20 I was very happy but just for a day or two

Can't say I've ever tried basket weaving.

You did offend some people, even if you didn't know it. Fact is you did apologise too and that's fair enough. But whacking off all over this thread is not going to make 800 happen any faster.

Or is it?

JFC can we get any more firstworld in here?
I'm really eager to see this too, just as I'm eager to receive my affordable molecular analyser in a couple of days and have a few beers at the weekend. But let's get some perspective: it's not worth shouting about like it's some kind of devastation to humanity if we don't get very slightly improved indoor coverage in some situations that might actually be quite rare on our internet-connected portable luxuries by tomorrow instead of sometime next year. The world will still continue to turn.
