Whoa. Far too much anticipation in here, which will lead to disappointment.

I guess most EE customers are used to disappointment as 3 have beaten them to it again. Mwah ha ha ha ha .

We stay resolute and assume that EE's offering will be far superior to the already rolled out 3 job. As a great man once said 'hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way'.

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.

Don't think it's started yet. Tomorrow looks like it's the day. If not tomorrow can't see it being this week.

No I don't think Jon was given incorrect info. Maybe it will be delayed for unknown reasons.

Personally I don't want or need 30+ meg indoors, that's what wifi is for. But 1800MHz really struggles to come in at home, work and in parts of town for various reasons. If I can get reliable 4G with VoLTE and enough bandwidth for casual browsing then that would be 100x better than now. I'd have thought just a few well placed cells would achieve this. Hopefully the real world coverage will match what the coverage maps have been (massively) overstating for ages!

My phone kept its 4G signal in Croydon whilst on a call yesterday and then today at my home in Kent. Not had that before. Is that a sign of 800 or am I showing my tech ignorance?

That could just be VoLTE/4G Calling on 1800mhz. What phone do you use and how did you get it?

Ah that's bad, can't check what band you're using as Field Test Mode doesn't work on 7/+. As long as you've always had 4G signal at those two locations before you would of been able to make VoLTE calls there since you got the iPhone 7+.
