I'm still surprised Android phones need to show a VoLTE icon - just confuses the majority of users surely?
EE phones won't show 4G+ plus either, although - again - I am sure you can change that. Just as you can change 4G to LTE and vice versa. Joe Public doesn't likely need to do know they've got carrier aggregated data, or using voice over 4G. But others DO want to know. I'd certainly like to know, and there are of course apps that can tell me a lot of things, but some require rooting. At least users have the choice. |

The phones can display all sorts of things, based on config files. The Pixel on EE won't show VoLTE (but you can see by the fact you're still on 4G when making a call). It DOES show Wi-Fi calling.

I like the g5 internal menu netmonitor lte discovery phono + speetest.net/sensorly/rm/mdata/nperf |

NSG mainly but started playing with a few others.
Android virgin here so getting used to it. Managed to root a Moto E (with help, thank you all who helped) so I must be getting better! : ) |

Ahh another Moto E user! Did you find the logo replacement to get rid of the unlocked boot loader message? Love the rooting but couldn't use it as main phone rooted. Ideal for network diagnostics!
I find the message quite funny in that apparently unlocking the boot loader could cause personal injury. : ) |
