I am sure if people like you keep bombarding EE and others with Tweets accusing them of lying all the time, they'll reconsider that information they give out via various channels and then you won't have anything to worry about as you'll not know anything until the day they do something.”

that is what should happen. Give the info when EE are ready, not like announcing something and then mess up with it, delay. EE had over a year of testing 4G800. So they messed up and are still doing. It is better release something and let people know after you have made sure it is ready rather than tell them it will happen, then it does not happen, then a year later tell customers 4G800 is live but it is not in reality as not accessible(need provisioning accounts). How pathetic! Start with 700 sites as EE are not sure how it will work as the year they had was not enough. All that stuff drives me mad and yes I would rather EE announced 4G800 when they were ready for it.

You seem to fail to recognise that there are commercial pressures too. It's a balancing act that is difficult to manage.

People are making purchasing decisions based on what you tell them. If you give no warning them you unnecessarily lose customers who have heard a competitor is about to provide something they need/want.

For WiFi calling this was something that factored in my company choosing EE. Even if it arrived late, it was the right decision for us as it was still far ahead of the Vodafone release.

With your attitude you really need to stop looking at forums that give insight into future plans. You are likely to be in a state of constant self torment.

I think this is an issue that natbike rightly points out. This forum (and others & I am just as bad at this so this is targeted at everyone) hyped themselves up for 800 in a way that is unrealistic of the current product. The 800 stuff I have seen whilst impressive where it is, is likely to leave many on here disappointed. I said quite a while back that it was limited in scale and it wouldn't be a magic solution.

At the end of the day a lot of the 800 stuff was blind speculation on here and at best coded rumor from people in the know and should have been treated as such, not as gospel (again I am not innocent in this regard).

As above, I'm fairly sure all EE have said with regards to 800 on coverage is that the network now covers more people. Which is true.

the forum is about opinions and this is my opinion. Nothing wrong to think differently. I think it is for people to share here but not to citisize others for thinkig other ways

But at the end of the day you are allowed to challenge people's opinions and with this deployment there will be a right answer as to how many are deployed and when it is switched on. Of course anyone can make a suggestion and is allowed to but no one is exempt from criticism or critical analysis. If you want to just make suggestions and have opinions and not have anyone talk about them or criticise them then I suggest you open Notepad, TextEdit or Vim write them there and save them to your desktop, it'll have much the same effect.

I wonder when the next batch goes live? I would have thought the next batch should be turned on by the end of the month hopefully!

Absolutely keep posting, and if they're wrong or if they aren't what the reality is then we'll challenge them. That's what's going to happen. You'll keep posting and we'll keep posting.

I personally think EE 800 isn't ready yet in most places. There are so many 800 sites near me still on low power, in fact I don't think I've seen any on high power yet, and based on what I've seen from other people, it's like that in most areas too. I think EE just want to take their time, test 800 properly and get it right. Sure 800 won't fix everything but it'll still help a good amount in some places IMO. If you look on your local councils planning website you might be able to find some EE 800 planning apps - where I am there are a few and it'll definitely help some areas. Just give it time, EE like taking their time...

L800 seems at the moment to be providing more robust 4G reception within the current L1800 area rather than expanding coverage to meet or exceed 2G.

There is one L800/L1800 area in Stamford. When only L1800 was available in this area the reception often flicked backwards and forwards between 4G and 3G but now it changes between L800 and L1800. The outer 4G boundary is still the same so drops down to 3G in exactly the the same spots as when L1800 only.

I've been noticing the same in London, a lot of switching between 2G1800, 3G2100 and 4G800 in indoor areas with bad coverage. It doesn't seem that 4G800 significantly outpowers the other frequencies...

I think 800 will bring with it age reversal, abundant energy and world peace.
