Kat has gone, Belinda has gone and now Kyle is leaving.

Stacey is the lone Slater now but is married to Martin so is now essentially a Fowler.

Wasn't SOC supposed to be a big Slater Fan? - doesn't look like it in my opinion!

IMO the Slater family haven't been the same since Lil Mo and Zoe left. Kat and Belinda returns helped somewhat but it wasn't the same. They were brilliant when they first arrived in the early 2000s

Yep. Two of my favourite families gone...the Slaters and the Butchers. The Masoods as well of course.

Kyle is painfully dull I agree with the decision to axe him, he serves no purpose. Belinda was a good character though I'm disappointed she's gone.

Maybe we'll be introduced to Stacey's two unseen half-sisters next year and see Denise Welch return as Stacey's stepmother.

Unless Kat comes back the Slaters are done, luckily Stacey can work in her own with out them but she the last link for now.

Get Kat back, minus Alfie if at all possible and bring back Zoe. I'm sure Michelle Ryan would jump at the chance for some acting work.

Michelle Ryan has always said that she has no intention of returning to EastEnders.

I cant help feeling that they are done unless Kat or Belinda return.

Kat in particular was always the strongest Slater Sister.

No need to bring any of them back. Kat in particular, she is repulsive.

I'd like to see Jean and Ollie back. It would be interesting seeing how she gets on with Kathy. They would need to calm her down from when we last saw her though. She can be a fabulous character when written well.

It will leverage on how well Red Water does imo, even then both the actors and EP might have no plans on returning.

I haven't liked the Slaters since Zoe left.

I was never a fan of any of the other Slaters unfortunately.

I wonder if Michelle Ryan will show up in Redwater if it makes it to another series?

I would love Kat to return to EastEnders, she makes the show a lot more enjoyable for me, but given the current state it's in and has been in for many years now I don't suppose there's much reason for Jessie Wallace to want to return if Redwater is a success.

Redwater has a stronger cast and production team, beautiful filming location, only films four months of the year allowing it's cast time for other projects, more prestige as a BBC drama and a guaranteed starring role. If the opportunity is there for it to continue I can't imagine it would be a difficult choice versus an EastEnders which is looking very tired.

If Redwater doesn't make it to series two I think Jessie Wallace will be offered her job back on EastEnders and I'd certainly welcome her back. SOC isn't interested in (DTC's) new additions to the Slaters, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't want to put his stamp back on his original Slater star.

Seeing as Zoe is my favourite character I would like to see Zoe return but I doubt it will ever happen unfortunately.

Carli Norris said see you next year in her statement. I expect she will be back in the new year. I can see both Shane and Jessie wanting to come back after Redwater. I really miss her on the show and would love it if both her and Alfie came back. it would be amazing if Sean brought back Little Mo along with a new partner for her and Freddie. They could move to the Square after coming to see Mo. Is Laila Morse still on the show?

I really miss Kat, hope she returns. It's never as good when she's not in it imo.

Bib I would hate to see her back. I can't stand the character personally

The actress is very good though.

The ideal line up (Excluding Kat) would be... Jean,Ollie,Stacey,Belinda and Sean with Ryan,Whitney,Martin,Bex,Sonia and maybe a member of Ollie's family interacting with them.

A definite yes from me for Kat and Alfie to return as i really miss them. Belinda was a good addition and was great with Kat and I hoped they would have some more scenes together but that seems unlikely now that Bel has gone.

Kat will need her family once her buffoon of a hubby has cashed in his belt buckle and gone to the muppet house in the sky.

I agree.

Jean is very well played but I think she is a horrible character for what she did to Stacey regarding that key.

Also forgot to mention that I loathe Jean with every fibre of my being. Horrid bitter woman. That incessant screeching she does is one of the worst noises I've ever head. I cheered Mike Moon on when he took money from her, he deserved every penny.

Thanks.
