Tonight is Michael's last episode (the 8.30pm episode contains "scenes some viewers might find upsetting.")

Preview clip shows Phelan holding a crowbar and saying "I'll try and make it quick" after Michael finds the fake passports.

I don't think Phelan will actually kill Michael (it'd be too obvious) - I think he'll have a heart attack during the confrontation thinking Phelan will kill him, and Phelan will watch him die and not call for help. Phelan won't need to get his hands dirty and the cause of death will be heart attack.

Either way, it's going to be an exciting twist in the tale especially since Anna knows about the voicemail on Phelan's phone etc.

Hopefully the next death in Coronation Street doesn't involve the Platt's in any way seeing as four of the last five deaths (which includes Michael if he does die tonight which seems very likely) have involved them.

Callum, Tony (off-screen - police believe he killed Callum), Kylie and Michael.

This will also be the fourth time Gail has been widowed (Brian, Richard, Joe, Michael). She's not even 60 yet and widowed four times is ridiculously unlucky.

I'm not sure why they would widow Gail again, as others have said, 4 times is utterly ridiculous. Michael could have easily popped back off to work on his ice cream van or whatever and had a low key exit. The character was dire anyway, giving him a dramatic end is wasted!

This.

More trauma for the Platts. I've lost all interest in the family now, they're ruined beyond repair in my opinion.

She'll be getting a reputation as the Black Widow

I was hoping to have the pleasure of seeing Phelan capping that coyote faced Michael with a lug wrench before he had a heart attack. I wanted to see blood on his hands and a smile to suit the occasion. How sad is that to be found lying in the the gutter clutching your chest with a vanilla ice cream stuck in your gob. Phelan will probably be found dead beside him from the embarrassment of cheating his legion of fans out of a good bloody night. Ruined my day, that's for sure.

To be honest I just want to see an end to the whole pitiful 'flats that don't exist' storyline!!!

The only thing that really pleases me is that
Spoiler

Beyond that I will feel little sympathy for anyone apart from Gail!!

Allowing for the long-running feud between Eileen & Gail, it is hardly going to help relations thaw between then if Gail suspects Eileen's fiance was behind Michael's death.

Fair point, though it still beggars belief to me that, having spent £15K on a deposit for a flat not one of the 'investors' had been down to the site of where their new home was going to be to check on progress & found out there wasn't any!!

In fairness once Michael made the suggestion, all the investors were super keen to get downt there and check on progress. When I bought my brand new house I didn't get to see it until the day I got the keys and I bought it off plan the same as these investors did. That said, you could kinda see the work goin on as you drove past.

I think that the building is supposed to be at the ripping out phase at the moment and in fairness there were a ton of skips and a load of junk thrown out. Maybe you can't get close enough to check?! Those pesky dogs

I agree also as Sarah said originally to Michael she trusts Todd so that's why she hasn't checked on any progress of the flat until Michael suggested checking on the progress again with Gary that's when she decided to check on it.

Yes that is unbelievable and a real flaw in the story line I have thought this too.

Yes if Vinnie bought those two as guard dogs he should think about demanding a refund!! They would have been better employing Eileen to guard the site!! Now sh can be pretty ferocious!!!!

I thought it was rather odd that they didn't go to the Police, although they probably knew how useless the cops are in Corrie so thought against it. But it was only last week when Anna was crying for been back at home and then a week later she is willing to bring in her arch enemy the dreaded Pat Phealan who she is terrified of to her own home without any backup, why would Micheal let her in the first place, why the hell would she think this was a good idea, why not get Gary around and Kev to confront him. Why didn't Micheal also go around with Andy to check out the yard. Seemed rather a dumb plan and doesn't that phone turn off or was she recording him with it.
