Anyone think they were going to kiss on the couch yesterday? The pair of them have fantastic chemistry and would actually make a great couple.

No way! I don't see any chemistry with those two at all. I actually like that they have a proper brother sister bond despite not being blood relatives.

I agree with Craig.

I think Peter and Tracy have one of the most believable sibling relationships in Soap re how they feel and act towards each other as I alwYs yhink it is clear that they have great affection for each other and usually het on bit have no illusions either. Basically they don't always like each ither but yhey love each other, know each other better than anybody else and will always support each other. Them not being blood relations makes that close relationship all the nicer.

It's also worth remembering that although they might not be blood, Tracy was only 4 and Peter 16 when Ken and Deardre married so they've been in each other's lives for a very long time for that sibling bond to form. Its hard to belie e they'd ever see each other in a sexual way , especially Peter who will remember Tracy as a little girl, barely more than a toddler.

Not to mention the fact that as Ken adopted Tracy, they aren't just step siblings but full siblings legally. Which means it would be incest and therefore s criminal offence, evebn though there is no biological link.

That lookon the sofa was just the shared realisation that Ken finally had the kind of child he want and like in a way he's never connected with either of them, even though he does love them.

No, but as others have said, I do like their relationship. I actually find Tracy almost tolerable in her scenes with Peter. That's definitely when she is at her best.

They're brother and sister!!! Of course they have great chemistry because their relationship is the same as Phil and Grant on EE. Siblings. Yes they're not biologically related but still, to all intents and purposes, they're both Ken's children and that's what it is. I'm a little bit concerned about Tracey's infatuation with Adam. I like to think it's "I'm a bitch and he can handle himself so he can be the other half of the team". I really hope they don't go down this route. I'd like to see Peter, Tracey and Daniel as siblings and Adam as their nephew. No underline attraction, no anything.

The look on the sofa was when one of them said that Ken finally had a child to be proud of (or words to that affect)

I would prefer to see Tracy in a coffin, but that's a different story!!

In reply to the OP, no I don't see any 'chemistry' between the two of them, I see two characters who suffer each other because they know it's in both their best interests to do so!! Tracy would stab Peter in the back as soon as look at him if there was something in it for her, as proved when she would have let him stay in prison so she could be with Rob!!

Not to split hairs, but they are actually legal half-siblings. Deirdre didn't adopt Peter.

True.
But, they have the same legal relationship to Ken in a way they didn't think Deardre because, as you say, she was his stepmother whereas Ken is Tracy's father.

Incest wise, full and half siblings are viewed the same.

not really.... it's only incest if they share the same blood

The legal definition of incest includes those related by adoption even though there us no blood link.

ETA. I stand corrected as I've just checked and it looks like it was changed in 2004 whilst adoptive parents are included despite teir being no DNA link, siblings aren't.

They can however look at the familial rationship as well.as blood one, iow, whether they have lived together and been brought up as siblings or had little contact. This is also true of step and foster siblings

I'm reading loads about this niw as it is really interesting. They update the laws wuite frequently as society changes. It was still illegal to marry anybidy that had been related by marriage (eg, brother in kaw) even if the union had ended by divorce or even death until a few decades ago.

They've also included IVF links now and common law parents I. Ither words your mums boyfriend so defacto, but not legal, stepfather, if they have lived in the same house when you were under 18.

We're very unusual in allowing adoptive siblings to marry, it is illegal in the USA and most of Europe.

Oh god no! We've practically watched Peter and Tracy grow up together.

Frankie and Jamie were bad enough...

Frankie and Jamie was gross. She brought him up from when he was a littlfe boy as there wasn't that big an age gap between him and Warren.

It'd be like Leanne and Simon getting together in 15 years time.

No, Corrie is actually one of the few soaps where the siblings have a decent believable relationship per say.
