Steve Irwin for me, he was something of a hero as a young child. I was truly devastated.

John Lennon for me as the most shocking, I was and still am a huge Beatles fan after seeing all the films at Christmas 1979. I remember going into school and everyone talking about it.
However the most upsetting was George Harrison as he was my favourite and it was the same year my marriage ended so a truly dreadful year for me!
Gosh everything you have said is the same as me I got into The Beatles big time in 1976 after seeing A Hard Days Night and George was my favourite Beatle too I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him, John's death really affected me and I still cry about it now.

Elvis Presley was the first shock for me I used to watch his films on Saturday mornings when the BBC put them on.
