Louis and Sharon or Nick and Rita?
Aaron Ingal

Who would you prefer Louis and Sharon or Nick and Rita??

For me, I'd go for Nick and Rita anyday. Though yes, Louis and Sharon are TV gold, they're entertaining. In the audition stage, they were clearly fun to watch.

But throughout the series, especially the live shows and the judges houses, Nick and Rita made better selection of acts and song choices. I couldn't remember Louis or Sharon giving their act a very current song (only in week 1). With Nick and Rita, we get a taste of what kind of music their act would make after the show. And more current music. And Nick clearly made better decisions than Louis. Can't say the same with Ora but I'd prefer her than Mrs. O.

Last year, they had a lot of acts who could potentially do good in the charts. The most current top 12 (exclude the Overs) XF had. And I think Mason would've had the same chances as Chè in making it to the end if they didn't throw him under the bus. So as 4th Impact.

If they kept the same panel this year and work on their chemistry a little bit more, I think it would attract more younger audience and would have slightly higher ratings than it is getting now. I can't say the ratings would do so much better but it would be better than it is doing now.

I wouldn't have any of them. They are all clueless.

Keeping last year's panel would have been an unmitigated disaster. That whole series was trying to "attract a younger audience" and it totally backfired, they need to stop chasing these viewers (who aren't very interested in mainstream TV nowadays anyway). XF's 16-34 numbers are huge as they are. Successful shows on TV nowadays have broad appeal across demos.

Sharon and Louis have more personality and are therefore more entertaining- the most important quality for a Saturday night LE show.

I dont know why they keep bringing back the haggard corpse of Sharon Osbourne every week, can't they save themselves some fees (and cost of first class flights) and get someone actually credible in pop music and who gives a **** about their acts and actually spends time with them? I'd prefer Tulisa or Kelly even over Sharon.

I think Louis and Simon make good bookends for the panel, the inbetweens need to be more relevant.

Nick and Rita are shameless attention w****s. No talent and irritating.

Rita has bedded more guys than most women have in a lifetime already in the last 4 years and wth does nick know about music - any idiot can spin a disc on a turntable. Hes a good voiceover man on radio but thats all.

I thought last year's panel was phenomenal, and I think any flaws in their run on the show can be chalked up to the fact that you Brits simply didn't give them a chance to shine. #Nick&RitaFTW

To answer your question, definitely not Nick he was as clueless as it goes. Why he ever ended up on a panel judging performers is anyone's guess. Rita would have been okay in the long term. To be frank the program is on its last legs. Its had a long run and is just a dire shadow of itself.

I watched the live auditions! When they made the tv edit, funny how Nick's personality was edited out. He was brilliant at the auditions. Nick and Rita have bags more personality than Louis Walsh! Sharon can't even be bothered this year..
The answer to poster is that I prefer Nick and Rita anyday.. But the show needed new judges this year.

Nick and Rita, dont understand what Nick was doing on the show last year, but still, two better persons and two humble humans. Out with it garbage Louis and Fake Sharon.

I'm pretty sure that the judges have very little to do with the acts chosen to go through or the song choices so I would stick with Sharon & Louis, both daft and embrace the madness

I agree, they provided much better decisions and song choices than Mrs O and Louis

I wasn't keen on Nick but loved Rita. I'd still prefer Nick to Louis to be honest, the song choices this series have been really dated.

I think you have to look at the panel in recent years who has created more chart stars and I think the two years without cowell on the panel were the best in recent years. Do you think James Arthur would have got through to the Lives if Cowell and Sharon Osbourne were on the panel the year he made was in it, or Lucy Spraggen, Ella Henderson.

Would Little Mix of won the show if Louis walsh had been mentoring them - i doubt it very much. (before anyone says it, I know he was on the panel the year they won, but thankfully he didn't mentor them!)

Getting acts to sing current songs or at least the kind of songs they would release after is key to finding a successful winner and you are not going to get that with Louis, Sharon and Simon Cowell on the panel who want to feed them the same old songs year after year.
