Rachel Adedeji

Rachel- I have to admit it. That was the best performance so far! It was right up your alley, if a little bit safe, but you knocked it out of the park! I have a feelng uou might be "the people's favouite" and go all the way, at least you will if you carry on like that! Well done!

Saara Aalto

Saara, I'll admit this was a good choice in my head, but after Maris pointd out it was easy to guess you doing a disco song, I'm not so sure. Was it too predictable? Either way you smashed it vocally, but I hope people didn't find it too safe. Whatever it is, I hope you don't go this early, because there are so many songs I have planned for you in the futre, and those are much better than this one, I hope!

Braiden Sunshine
I think everyone's prediction is absolutely wrong this week! You nailed it out it, you hit it out the park! This was absolutely fantastic and definitely enough (in my opinion) to get you through to next week.

Chloe Jasmine
I think this was definitely a risky song, Audrey Hepburn is idolized today and considering many people are opting for you to be in danger tonight then I think this was very risky and thought you might have been able to find a better pick.

Danny Noriega
Yes Danny! This is super you, your voice is just perfect for a musical and you killed this tonight. #VoteDanny all the way!

Rachel Adedeji
Rachel! You gave this justice tonight, I loved it! But while I did love it, I would prefer if you stayed away from other reality contestants as you are trying to stand out and I don't really think you did this tonight.

Saara Aalto
Saara, as much as I love you and this song; it was too predictable and cheesy. While listening I couldn't help but think of how predictable this was. I feel as if you could've used a better song to ensure safety however good performance nonetheless.

Decent for you? Yes. Extremely predictable? Yes. Okay Saara this was another good start to the competition but I need to stress to your mentor that this was so predictable and just felt like a last minute find. I mean you could’ve AT LEAST gone and chosen a Irene Cara song which isn’t one of her most famous songs. But yeah it was a decent song for you but nothing which will make me want to route for you.

But I want you to stay because I know you have a lot more to give.

That was a great night for Rachel and a mixed one for Saara. But it's still down to you to save them.

Over to Riley and the Idols for the next performance. Singing an absolute classic, it's Jessica Garlick
My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion.

Back to the Voice for our next performance. Taking on a Regina Spektor song, it's our indie chick Darby Walker
While My Guitar Gently Weeps by Regina Spektor

Hmmm, Jessica I think this track was a bit meh for you. Like when I compare this track to what I’ve seen you do it feels quite lackluster and drags on for a bit after a certain point. You see you have such amazing soulful power in your voice and swagger as well that what I think Riley’s done is just thought because the artist he’s chosen is a soul singer it’ll suit you and it unfortunately doesn’t suit you a lot. You’ve got potential in you, I’ve just got to wait for that to be seen.

I enjoyed that Jessica. However you've proved that you're capable of better like at Eurovision. I'm interested to see what your mentor does with you!

I can accept that this was a risky song choice for you, however I feel you did that absolute justice! The way you sung that gave me goosebumps and had me on the edge of my seat throughout! Great start to the competiton Jessica and I really hope the public get behind you tonight as you are a star in the making and I love working with you!

Darby Walker
As someone who has just recently watched Kubo and loved it I have to say the same for this performance. As much emotion as the film and absolutely amazing storytelling throughout. I can't wait to see you progress throughout the competition as you are a delight to watch!

*standing ovation*
Nothing like a bit of Regina Spektor now is there? Darby you’re one of those artist who captivates me with every single performance because you have such amazing stage presence, vocal ability and are able to just amaze people with ease. I wanted to give you a song which showed off your ability but one that also showed off how amazing your vocals and I think this song definitely did that. Epic performance Darby and I am so hyped to see what more I can do with you.

Plus, I'm furious that the American public sent you home this week, like you have the best voice out of the remaining ones and I'll make sure she'll make it far here.

Jessica Garlick

Jessica, as much as I love you as a singer and artist, I didn't like this. It was so predictable! It feels like a last minute choice! While I admit I appreciate your mentor chose a different version, it still sounded, for the most part, the same, and I really didn't enjoy it, it was way too predictable! Vocally, however, you smashed it, and I want to see you again, because you can give so much more, and you will be an act I'll end up looking forward to. Just don't be so predictable!

Darby Walker

You know how I said Rachel was the best so far? She isn't anymore. You stole her crown.

THAT.WAS.AMAZING!!!!!!

I can't even begin to say how incredible it was! It gave me goosebumps, my hairs stood on end, and it suited you down to the ground! EXCELLENT choice by your mentor! Darby, I'll say it now: You are the main front runner, everybody should watch out for you.

Oh yeah, I didn't give a standing ovation. I gave a flying ovation....because you made that possible!

Darby, I liked that and the song choice was very different from what we've heard today. The vocals were very smooth and suited to you!

Let's see if the second of the Underdogs can top that performance with a song from a well known diva, from the movie Fifty Shades of Grey, it's Cody Frost
Crazy In Love by Beyonce

Next up, it's the last of the X Factor acts doing what she does best from the movie Grease, it's
Fleur East
You're The One I Want by John Trovolta and Olivia Newton John

Cody, this was different from what I expected. Yet, it was still absolutely brilliant! Danyal has shown he really knows what he’s doing with you and I’m in love with it so I really have nothing to say other than; a fabulous performance, great energy, and I hope we’ll see you again next show!

Cody Frost

Ohh Cody, I loved that. It was so haunting, and chilling, it kept me on the edge of my seat. It suited you very well. I can't wait to see what else you end up doing in the future, because you are the dark horse!

Fleur East

Yeah, Fleur! This song immediately popped into my head when I thought of you, and I like to think it suited you very well without being too predictable! It was so much fun, such a crowd pleaser! You knocked it out of the park! I can't wait to work with you in the future if you get through!

Fleur, I'm so sorry I just didn't get it, I don't think that song choice allowed you to shine enough and I'm genuinely worried for you! You're meant to be sassy, big vocals and a performance to match but that all felt very flat to me.

Goosebumps. Amazing and captivating performance; I can't wait to see what else in store for you - I loved it!

Fleur East
Another song which just seems like a last minute pick and I didn't understand the male parts as you are not a male yourself. It'll be interesting to see which way the public goes tonight as that was very vocally flawed however I feel you have people that will vote for you regardless.

Time for Riley and his Idols to show us what they're made of. From the movie, Country Strong, Ladies and gentlemen, here's Carrie Underwood.
Words I Couldn't Say by Leighton Meester

From the movie Shrek, tonight's penultimate performance will be brought to you by Rylan Clark, enjoy!
Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin

I loved it, Carrie! Your awesome vocals did the song justice and, IMO, made it better than the original. Well done!

Rylan Clark

Look Rylan, I like you as a person, but I just didn't really 'get' this. I don't really enjoy joke acts. I found it all a bit too cheesy and camp for my liking. Even a bit predictable. Sorry, but I didn't like this at all However, people will vote for you, so next week, don't be so predictable!!

Yes Carrie! This is exactly why I picked you! This was right up your street and this was a fantastic performance to which the public should get behind. I loved it, and I can't wait to experiment different types of songs on you!

Rylan Clark
Rylan, I'm sorry but I didn't like it. As much as I like you as a person, the performance got the crowd dancing but the vocals were flat and off key. I'm sorry but I really didn't like it.

JK, I didn't really get this. I don't think this suited your voice and you struggled at parts which I found distracting. I thought you were a strange decision made by Aaron, and I don't think this has paid off yet but then again it is only the 1st show, so you still have time to improve - I just didn't like it.

That’s it for tonight’s performance show folks! All twelve acts have performed their Movies songs, and now it’s up to you to do something. You see, only the DS public can guarantee the safety of any of these acts. It’s really simple: you just have to vote for your favourites! Remember, ONE act will be leaving the competition tonight, making your votes even more important.

Here’s a recap of the twelve acts that performed tonight:
Spoiler

To vote, all you have to do is PM me a ranking of the twelve acts (12-1, with 12 being your favourite act and 1 being your least favourite act). Please note that anyone can vote, mentors included. However, you are only allowed to vote once.

The lines will close at 8:40PM, which is exactly one hour away from now. This doesn’t leave you a lot of time to vote, so my advice would be to start voting immediately.

While you wait for the results, feel free to discuss the show with me and any available judges right here on this thread.
