I'm more shocked that he is liked. What on earth is there to like about him is a more pertinent question.

I've hated a lot of soap characters but he's honestly the only one who I literally can't watch. The actor pulls these faces and swings his oversized arms about and I just can't.
I don't mind him as a background character but I find him really irritating and OTT when he's with Paddy and as for when he's s falling for the latest ' great love of his life.'

And the bandwagonning excuse you love to make is pointless. It's more a case of posters knowing their own minds regarding characters they happen to dislike, and I find their dislike of the likes of Marlon spot on.
I can't stand the character, and it's a pity that the producers are too Dingle obsessed to kill him off.

I like his character and is apparently a really nice guy. There are far more soap characters I would like to see the back of.

What was funny in a guy in his twenties just seems cringey in a man in his forties. He's a great big self-involved man baby. He overdramatizes everything and makes it about him.
He's just stuck in a massive rut as a character, and I don't think he'll ever change, because the show writers seem to think there's something funny and appealing about it. I got sick of him a long time ago.
