Amazon Prime 2nd free trial?
Hi,
About 2 years ago I had a free trial with Amazon Prime and was wondering if anyone has ever had a 2nd free trial at all? I'm happy to pay the £7.99 a month now but if a free trial were thrown in again it would be a bonus. Cheers |

Think I've had two, maybe three. They usually show you when you try and order something, make sure it's a trial though. Read the T&C's.
You'd have to cancel though, bet the trial month counts for the year if you don't. |

It's on offer at the moment, anyway. Just pay the 12 month in one go for £59 for the whole hog. Works out at £4.91 a month...

Seems a good deal. My sister was thinking about getting Amazon Prime as she buys from Amazon nearly once a month. She also has Netflix and has an Apple Music membership. I myself only buy from Amazon now and again. Although I do use Amazon a little more at times in the run up to Christmas but will stick with Netflix as well as Spotify premium I think.

Yes, I was offered a second trial last week when ordering some books. It's about a year, perhaps slightly longer since using my original free trial.
Not sure if everyone's getting offered one at the moment or even if it might be based on purchases. I have recently had a bit of a spike in how often I buy there. Used to buy only 2-3 times a year from them, but have placed around 10 orders in the past couple of months. Might be coincidence, I'm not sure. |

On a second trial now, it's only been a couple of months since I cancelled, £5.99 video membership only, normally dip in and out a few times a year. Quite surprised to have been offered another free trial to be honest.

Amazon Prime 2nd free trial?

I signed up for a free trial but was charged £79 a week later. I queried the charge with Amazon and they said that only 1 free trial was allowed within a 12 month period. I looked back and it was 8 months since my original free trial. They refunded my £79 and cancelled my trial.
He had a "Free Month Trial", but had to pay £79 upfront, he cancelled it straight away by phoning Amazon up and they refund him the £79 that they took out of his Bank Account and the free month trial was also cancelled But I was better off - see post above |

The video service was launched in February 2014 increasing the Prime cost to £79. All existing Prime memberships were upgraded to the new package at no extra charge. Quote:

Unlikely as Prime was £49 back then and only included the free next day delivery and the Kindle library.

You can cancel an account and card but if there's a recurring payment they still pay out. Checked your credit rating lately? |

I've already cancelled the free trial, service gets cut off on the 12/12, but I'll keep an eye on my account/billing. |

The free trials are over a year apart, but during that period I have been a frequent customer.
