Well if you're speaking of real people as in the actors acting in soaps then fair enough, if, however you're speaking about being snide regarding other posters who do know the difference between the two but just don't share your precious opinions then not so fair.

How does that work then? Seems to me it's not real when one needs an excuse to be vitriolic yet it apparently is real when one spots something that doesn't reflect reality. ”

Where do you get the insight into what "they" would or wouldn't say in real life. I'm always curious when someone drags out the cliches such as " they" " many" "lots" and the one and only "people". Its always meaningless in the arena of general conversation. It is my duty to point out flaws in any t.v. or movie production. The words I use are applicable to the program and characters, be they vitriolic or not is my choice. I don't need to be told how to critique fact or fiction thank you very much. I dont rely on "them" to tell me if its real or not. That's why I wear my critics crown. I hope this clears up any confusion. Needless to say I only speak for myself.

Yes, 'masterclass' was the right description of the actor playing Paddy Phelans' performance last evening. I was amazed when he walked back into Eileen's, where Todd knows all about the scam. How can he talk his way out of this?

"Love" him or loathe him, Phelan's character is the only one you watch at the moment in Corrie. Masterfully played imo. Believable as a smart-arse builder / loving partner / cynical fraudster / murderer-by-proxy. Not many actors in the world could pull that lot off.

The latter. I can't bear to look at him or listen to him and he's a terrible actor.
Why have you missed out loser?
Being walked all over by his much cleverer partner in crime and someone he didn't dare try to bully?

You didn't by any chance pony up fifteen grand to Phelan and buy an apartment off the plans.

Corrie would be foolish to let him go, which is exactly what they will do.

...and, I forgot to mention, sadistic abuser. The point is that the actor's made this arsewipe of humanity into one of the more believable and watchable characters on Corrie.

Can I just say I'm against this sort of thing in general.

If Tracey can be accepted back as a character after cold blooded murder then I fail to see why Phelan can't stay
