why have Neighbours put their Christmas decorations up already ?

Is it because the show finishes on Fri 2 Dec - so only 10 episodes left before Christmas?

Why dont they just not mention Christmas.

Well, they're actually a bit late. Oxford Street's Christmas lights have been on for a couple of weeks (they were put up on 3rd October!)

Most Christmas trees in my area have been up for over a week.

I love Xmas time in Neighbours, it always looks nice and warm. I hope we see all the houses celebrating like they did a couple of years ago.

Well Xmas decorations have gone up in real life already. I've seen them in the streets and I'm pretty sure that many shops replace their Halloween display with an Xmas one on 1 November.

We were discussing this in the main thread and it was more about people's homes than businesses (I'd find it slightly depressing if everyones homes already had their decorations up!). It seems the show has jumped forward into December.

There isn't really any atmosphere to Christmas in Australia, given it's right in the middle of summer. Also can someone tell me what date
Spoiler
Dee
is returning so I know when to start watching again?

My friend put her tree up 2 weeks ago. I think the decorations are up cos the show goes on a transmission break from 2nd December - 9th of January, so maybe it is already December in Erinsborough?

Trouble is, when Neighbours returns on 9th January, the xmas decor will vanish overnight in the middle of all the drama lol.

Ridiculous.
Dec 24th is ample time for decorations.
Down Jan 2nd.
