Larry was the top dog in the camp until the other two arrived and he certainly won't be getting much attention since Danny arrived

I think he was in a programme about living on benefits & IIRC he didn't seeming willing, only there for the pay cheque but I'm loving him on this. Go Larry.
So far he has been top dog - camp leader and now Chef, both positions of authority in the jungle. Wonder what he'll be like when others take over those roles. Can't see him taking orders from Carol or Danny. We shall see, still early days. |

Oh thank you for remembering that (thought I was going loopy!). Yes he was very unsympathetic in that programme as I remember it. Can't remember details but know I was not impressed by him at all.

Are people just digging around needing something to complain about and finding zilch because they've basically been getting on well this year? Even another programme Larry appeared in now and of course negativity! |

In that previous show (where famous people tried to get work under the pretence that they were homeless and jobless), Larry refused to look for work but was happy to collect his benefit money and sit and drink tea. So yeah, he came across as an obnoxious old git and declared that he would do things his way, not what the production team wanted, however some people might argue that his stance (i.e. someone nearing retirement age isn't going to get a job) was a fairly realistic one. Even so, he was paid 'jobseekers' allowance.
In the jungle, where he has been paid a flat fee possibly upwards of £150,000, I think he's going to do nothing of note for the duration really. Fair enough; they aren't performing monkeys. I think the only reason he's there is because the producers thought he might talk about last year's big deal, Lady C (who he dated). |
