Finding him a bit too intense at the moment. He's come in and acts like he owns the place.

He needs to be more subtle.

I agree SS, they are trying way too hard with him so far & rather than just coming across cocky like a Baldwin, he's coming across as Tracy mk2 which is never going to be a good thing:!!

Adam is Ken's grandson. Adams parents are Ken's daughter Susan Barlow and Mike Baldwin, who are both dead.

In case you're wondering about Daniel - he is Ken's son with a hairdresser called Denise. Ken had an affair with Denise 20 years ago while on a break from Deirdre.

Give the boy his dues, his acting is miles better!

His acting is way better than the last time, they do need to tone it down a bit we get that he's like Mike.

He's way over the top. If he'd turned up in an Aston Martin then maybe it would be flashy but it's only a Jaguar XE. I wonder how much Jaguar paid for the product placement?

Probably depends whether Mike legally changed it after he got custody. Given Susan had divorced Mike by hus burth and trying to keep him a secret, she probabky had hum listed as Barlow on his birth certificate.

This is splitting haird, but it us buggung ne that they keep sayong Ken and Deardre were 'on a break' when Daniel was conceived. They were divorced and had been for a couple of years. Denise had nothing to do with that.

I'm liking Adam as character. Yes they're laying the Mike Baldwin reincarnated vibe on a bit thick but it'll probably calm down.

No, because Mike didn't know he existed for many years. Susan told him she'd had an abortion and had moved away by the time he was born.

Dislike him. Seems like another Tracy, which is all the show needs. Hopefully he is a bit more layered.

I suppose so but the XE is a baby version and a rival to a 3 series BMW or Merc C class. They should have splashed out on the bigger brother XF or even an XJ . The way jaws dropped you'd think no one on the street had even seen anything so flash .

Acting has improved but like others the arrogant act and making enemies is a bit much for his first week, it should be built up.

His performance is OTT, he needs to stop trying so hard and be more natural. His entrance, in typical soap style, didn't immediately endear him to the viewers.

I quite like him but agree that what Adam is doing is (in parts) a bit OTT at the moment. However, that is just the writing.

I think Sam is great and I think he's given Adam a really interesting persona already.

I'm glad that Ken's time away when Adam was ill was mentioned - I hope more of that is spoken about - it must have been very serious and maybe there's a future storyline in that?

Just read a refreshingly honest interview with Sam on Metro online about his last stintt in Corrie. He's absolutely right, the writers brought him in and did NOTHING with him, so it's good that he said he would only come back if they gave him a personality and a storyline!

He also said (in not so many words) he wasn't a fan - as a viewer - of the last EP.

Bib - thats my only issue too, I found it laughable how he arrived in a Jag, smoked a cigar and then had some scotch all within about 5 minuets. Especially considering the last time we saw him, all he did was the 'poor me' act and was no where near as cocky.

Adam Barlow is drop dead gorgeous!! sexiest man I have ever seen in a soap.
