they arent offensive, thats the point, but do you think 'manuel' could be created today? a white jewish brit playing a stereotypical spaniard? its no different to michael bates 'blacking up' to play a char-waller in 'it aint half hot mum'.
wheres the snowflakes who are creating comedy with these racial stereotypes?

“Remember?
god help us if thats the case.....
bloody snowflakes have been taught not to offend, hence comedy has gone down the pan.
I would say non of the the characters you named are famous because they were offensive or did the odd non PC thing.”
they werent offensive, by normal peoples standards, but i suggest that the snowflakes have been taught not to offend, which explains
why there are no such strong, memorable characters - because they dont dare go anywhere near something that
might be seen as offensive.

“You mean blacking up and puffter gags. Aye really cutting edge. Tastes change as does culture. Nothing to do with snowflakes and lefties.”
nonsense...... ever since the 50's through to the mid 00's there was a steady stream of ground breaking, risque, tv comedy, from the goon, that was the week that was, not only but also, monty p, fawlty, young ones, blackadder, father ted, sketch shows, to green wing, are you seriously suggesting no one wants that kind of comedy now? because i know we DO.

“Are you saying that Mrs Brown is a person and not a character? But I suspect you don't find Mrs Brown's Boys funny so it must be generation snowflake rather than comedy being subjective.”
yes i do like mrs browns boys........ but you do realise the huge mistake here?
mrs brown, brendan o'carrol, is a BOOMER, nothing to do with snowflakes.

“Comedy styles come and go, in and out of fashion. It has nothing to do with snowflakes. At the time of The Office and The Royale Family it was thought sitcoms filmed infront of an audience were dead in the water. Today there are a few sitcoms filmed in front of an audience.”
thats simply untrue. comedy styles dont come and go as highlighted above, it doesnt explain 10 years of unfunny nothingness. theres possibly only 'buss *******' and 'whats occurring' that are memorable sayings. never heard that about filming in front of a live audience.

“The only show from your list that could have been deemed controversial show was Brass-eye. Then the only controversy around the show was due to tabloids strirring things up with faux outrage. Mainly the right wing media.
Lefties and snowflakes Eh
”
you dont get it.... they werent controversial
then, but you try making 'it aint half hot mum', or 'till death us do part', or anything that mentions or relies on stereotypes? im not talking about the black and white minstral show, or anything roy chubby brown might want to spout, but 'normal' comedies.

“Baa Baa Black Sheep has not been banned.
3 years ago is not 1981-1997 is it? 3 years ago is a Tory education system is it not?
”
yes it has! .... you cannot find many, if any schools that sing that rhyme.
the point was that it started in the 80's and its still being 'banned' or altered now.

“Haven't done to bad in the Olympics though have we? Bleedin Snowflakes.”
true..... there are of course exceptions but what the olympics got to do with comedy?
Quote:
“Are Football, Rugby, Cross County, swimming and the likes non competitive sports? Because I can remember being on the winning and losing sides many a time.”
but you left school before non competitive sports was introduced, which didnt start in 1981.

“What does this actually have to do with you not finding Michael McIntyre funny. Who were the offensive Saturday night family entertainment host in a pre snowflake world?”
you STILL dont get it..... you dont HAVE to be offensive to be funny, as ive pointed to many examples... it is being afraid to offend, which is what the snowflakes do... michael mcintyre is a prime example, he just talks drivel. its childish, safe, drivel.
Quote:
“No I do get it, You are getting older. You are now a generations out of touch with the 'yoof' Just as every generation is as they get older. You want tastes to change back so you have something you can relate to. The kids have moved on, nothing you can do about. They have their culture.. From Game Of Thrones to The Inbetweeners. There is so much of it. Try You Tube if you want a nostalgia trip. Thing's ain't as funny, music ain't as good, grass ain't as green.
I don't find anything from those days offensive. It's the TV from my childhood. It's all been done though. It's old hat. Just as many things are from those eras. ”
you think great comedy is aimed solely at the young? WRONG. its nothing to do with generation gaps. old people dont have to like comedy or a musical scene to see theres a vibrant one. whats the game of thrones got to do with comedy? or music? was it created by snowflakes? i doubt it.
you still dont 'get ' it.... it doesnt have to be offensive! its only seen as offensive or potentially offensive by the snowflakes....
to prove me wrong, please show me where, in mainstream tv, there are quality comedies thatll stand the test of time, the memorable ones, of the calibre of those i listed. oh, and were created by the snowflake generation... if things are as good as ever, this task wont be hard to do!

“As far as the charts are concerned? You can blame mass corporate manipulation of music for that. From TV to Radio. You can blame record companies after a sure fire hit with a cover version rather than nurturing a new artist. The entire nature of the music landscape has changed for many reasons. Nothing to do with snowflakes.”
the scene you describe is the very same one that prevailed in 1976... what did the boomers do? roll over and accept it like the snowflakes have? no.... we created punk, we rebelled against the establishment and in a few year created the most vibrant, varied, creative period in british pop music.
Quote:
“Would you be shocked in 2016 to see a male musician dressed as a woman? What about a female musician dressed as a man? It's all been done. What about the odd naughty word in a song? Nudity, sexuality, sexual references. All been done. There is nothing left in music to shock, be it in fashion or the music itself. How groundbreaking would a band singing about politics be in this day in age? What about screaming and swearing. Would that be deemed edgy in 2016.
Nothing to do with generation snowflake.”
now you do have a point there, maybe it has all been done, maybe theres nothing left to use to shock.
but that doesnt explain why british snowflakes cannot produce great pop music like 21 pilots do.
Quote:
“There is just as much variety in music today as there ever has been.”
not in mainstream, your wrong there... there hardly any variety in the charts unlike the charts you grew up with in the early 80's.
however technology has made a variety of music more accessible.

are you for real?.... 4 year old arguing over a rhyme lyric that they had no knowledge of? their teacher told them it was 'woolly sheep' , who are they to argue that?
