The dances were overmarked.
There was too mich cheering.
The atmosphere was over-hyped but fell flat.
The dances (minus Danny and Ore) failed to live up to expectations.
Hate the backing dancers.

Very disappointed tonight, built up so much and fell flat.

Because Blackpool week is always shit. You get the odd standout dance like Anita and Gleb last year, but mostly it's overhyped with no atmosphere.

I did love the opening dance this year though.

Theyve alwayd had the backing dancers in Blackpool, it's because the floor is so big I believe but it is a bit too DWTS for my liking having them there.

The atmosphere was over-hyped but fell flat.
"A party to which we were not invited" about summed it up.
It might have been nice in the venue where you had a natural view, but there was too much zooming and cutting of the camera angles, and a noisy acoustic. The BBC has still not learnt after all these years of Wembley fiascos that the big "experience" is just a turn-off to the viewer at home.

The only dance I liked was Danny's Charleston. It really was bad. I don't even think that it's the overmarking. Something just didn't work tonight. ....

I don't really know how to describe what I mean, but I felt like there were a lot of dances where it was hard to see the couple against the background. Everything was so busy, it took impact away from the couple.

I don't like all these backing dancers but i expect it's to help fill the huge space. I felt several were over marked and Ed deserved a few more points. Danny danced very well in his Charleston but for me it wasn't a fun dance.

Overmarking was an issue from Claudia's starting point. But the leaderboard is in exactly the right order so frankly it doesn't matter.

I really liked Ore and Louise, liked Danny and found Ed entertaining. Claudia was okay and Greg and Rinder were poor.

It was good to see so much of Neil dancing! And the opening number was great too.

I liked the dances but found them difficult to follow because of the camera zooming about, often couldn't see the feet and the other dancers were distracting. In some instance we couldn't even make out the celebrity at all in the melee.

Basicly Louse Rainbow has had a bad day at the office, apart from Danny Mac and Oti's dance all I could see was the poxy extra dancers which we didn't need, please tone down the Americanisation of SCD

That is it we lost focus on the couples in some parts blody hell it was that an indifferent performance I though from Claudia and aj going to watch it again just can seem to enjoy it as a piece of dance !! no idea why

Louise was poor

A paso that's so messy... Looked under-rehearsed... She was pushed and pulled around by Kevin, I also think she went wrong at one point. Hope she makes it through!

Danny was the best by a country mile, wasn't phased by dancing at Blackpool...

The rest were mixed and messy... Greg's face bothered me

Just a poor show, something off tonight... roll on next week!

I hate conspiracy theories but something about the judging had a bad whiff to it. Ore and Claudia were overmarked, possibly because the show cannot face losing another woman or black man. After then it all went downhill for me.

The wow dance was Danny and I liked the Judge, but I actually felt sorry for Ed. He spent too long on the piano and did not have enough time to get going. I do think it is his time to go but it all felt as though he was being shoved out - harsh marking for him to put clear blue water between him and the others.
Overall I did not enjoy the show.

Live from the X Factor forums,

Tonight's SCD was fantastic.

I do not recognise any of these points are true in anyway whatsoever.

The zoomings and cuttings were far too frequent, you couldn't really appreciate the dancing.
They weren't making a video of a girl pop group dancing, where all the fast cutting is necessary to disguise the fact that they can't dance.
The extra dancers often got in the way of your view.

Blackpool is usually a major disappointment every year. But at least more people can go to see it.

Blackpool is the pinnacle of Strictly, it really is but agree that tonight's show wasn't great. I think that most of the dances didn't fill the huge dance floor very well, The space seemed vast and the extra dancers just seemed to get in the way.

I really liked that it was not a fun dance, just goes to show how everyone sees something different, which is just as well.

Were they just pretending they were at Blackpool?...... It didn't look like it normally does when they go up there!....... To me it looked the same as it always does!.. In the studio!...... I didn't notice that it looked any bigger than usual!...... I think they were having us on!...

I enjoyed the show more than i thought I would.
But I thought that the camera work was dreadful.
Half the time you couldn't see what was going on with the actual dancers we were supposed to be watching.
Had to borrow my hubby's glasses to watch Louise's dance as most of it was filmed from a distance!

I enjoyed tonight and thought they all danced really well, but I do agree that the main couples sometimes get lost amongst all the backing dancers and on such a big floor. And the camera work was shocking! Here they come, let's inexplicably cut away, just as they're about to execute a particularly good move!

I really enjoyed it.

I ignored the judges' comments after the first dance and whilst Ed wasn't as much fun as usual all the others had something I enjoyed and I didn't even mind the backing dancers this year.

To be fair, they could all could all come out and dance to Agadoo and it would still be miles better than the X Factor

It felt very DWTS. Another hater of the backing dancers, found them extremely distracting and unnecessary. The apparent top dancers (Louise, Danny, Ore, Claudia) also disappointed to an extent too, I didn't especially like any of their routines, but I'd agree they probably suffered somewhat from overhype.

I was very disappointed by the judging tonight. What's the point of them if they don't mark what they see.
