1) As others have said...trying to "fill" that floor and what is aircraft hangar space with action, sound, random camera snatches and any kind of"atmosphere" made the whole thing frenetic/verging on hysteria.

2) It was probably the most OTT "production" by I'm still not sure if I didn't once again through the Louise Chanceofaquicknap all shades of magnolia performance.

3) Is there a completion to design a bizarre and preferably unflattering neckline for the Tess dress...can anyone enter?

4) What did Danny dance this week? His slot has been tea making time every week since Week 1 in this house.

5) Go Ed, Rob and Greg...it's what Strictly used to be about...people improving, having fun, entertaining.

Danny danced a Charleston.

How does Wembley arena compare to it? I thought that was a lost battle

1. No wow dances for me and i think the backing dancers distract from the couple.
2. I loathe the judges 'dancing' to the judges table at the beginning it makes me cringe.
3. I wish they would stop pitching Claudia as a dancing tween.
4. I'm sure Judge Rinder is a nice guy but I don't find his dances interesting at all and I forget about him every week.
5. Find myself rooting for Louise, Greg and Ed.

Does Vicky Gill dress Tess or does she have her own costumier? We're all for a bit of sartorial risk taking, but it needs to be hit and miss, not consistent miss.

Am fairly sure I read, last year, that Tess chooses her own outfits, from a range that are offered to her ( not by Vicky )

1. Both jives a bit meh, Claudia is really petite and I think the high heels hampered her performance. Ed was just a stompy dancer as usual.

2. That never ending flekel was boring, overmarked IMO

3. Never like salsas and JR just got carried away, looked like he was having a ball though.

4. Loved the G.O.T. paso, liked the QS and the charleston

5. Judges got a bit carried away with the marking.

That Charleston wasn't perfect......
Backing dancers too distracting.
I had Claudia down as DO material right from the start - they put her on first and then (arguably) followed her with the 3 strongest dancers - poor girl didn't stand a chance.
Having gone mad with the 9s for Claudia the judges had nowhere else to go for the better dancers.
Right person went in the end - apart from Ed who is still getting through on the public vote, Greg was the weakest dancer left.

Thoughts on contestants for week 9 (in alphabetical order):

Danny & Oti - lock turn, push glide, turn, greet Oti's hand, rolling off the arm, then straight into an attention grabbing cartwheel – thought that was a great way to start off a stylish Charleston. Felt comfortable watching the routine as Danny let go of his natural body tension, came out and carried out a polished routine. Liked the familiar, strange/quirky moment on the table top and how relaxed Danny looked when hovering with his weightless heel clicks. Hoping he can ride upon this routine in the coming weeks.

Louise & Kevin - it was nice to see the stern expression at the top and how she maintained character coming down the royal staircase. Thought the skirt movement looked confident and that she did her best to have the right amount of aggression. Maybe create a bit more curvature in her arm/chest when presenting the music and keep the eyeline a bit up throughout. Though her flamenco arms were a hair relaxed/stylized, still thought it was an upgrade from her week 5 rumba performance.

Ore & Joanne - was drawn into the smoky poker lounge, and thought the slow-motion/freezing moments nicely captured Ore's nonchalant/flippant attitude towards his harmless escapade. Pulling out in natural turns, thought the savvy casino players offered enough to keep one guessing and to inject a little tension. Think maybe there could've been a bit more volume created in between the fleckerl turn, but thought it amusing to see the couple rotate the unsuspecting table one last time to showcase their sleak, comedic caper.

Best of luck to all the celebs and looking forward to their dances.

only person who did their best dance so far went home!

still think Salsa is a waste of time

hour long fleckerl was a bit tedious

more controversially:-

Peter Kay was annoyingly unfunny

Tess looked stunning in her Results show outfit (V. Kay is such a plonker!)
