Why the closed thread?

Why was the Danny thread closed?

I don't see anything inflammatory there, are we not allowed to discuss his extensive training now then? We was always allowed to talk of others and he was in fact in a musical for a number of years.

Weird how the Ore thread wasn't closed but the Danny ones are.

Because there were three threads saying the same thing. Because there is already a long thread where people are whinging about prior training?

It's odd to me.

People can say it's mentioned on other threads, but so is so much, you couldn't like another couple on any thread as there are appreciation threads.

I find it odd, he has had a lot of training and experience, I mean he went to the school Darcy herself trained. He has been trained to a professional standard, are we not allowed to talk of it here? There are no rules for that.

It's nothing to do with 'rose tinted glasses'.
It's a dancing show, for goodness sake. A lot of people like to watch really good dancing on a dancing show. It excites them. It entertains them. It is the reason they watch the show. It doesn't matter to them whether or not those really good dancers who entertain and excite them have had any previous training.
As much as you 'ringer accusers' like to insist ( as if it's a fact ) that SCD is about complete novices 'having a journey', it really isn't.
For a lot of viewers it's about watching amazing dancing. You're never going to convince those people ( I'm one of them ) that a less able dancer is a worthier winner of the glitterball than someone who's a technically near - perfect and exciting dancer.

Oh, I like really good dances, but that doesn't mean you cannot chat about things, nor talk about it in a thread.

Hi

From our rules:

"Where has my thread gone?" "Why was my post removed?" "Why was I/XX banned?"
These are not questions that can be answered on the forum. Please contact us directly with your query regarding moderation via the contact forum.

However, we closed the thread because the user who created it made three identical threads about the same subject. This really isn't necessary and there's no need for duplicate threads.
