I think she was a tad overmarked for a dramatic routine to be honest he finishing wasn't the best.

I thought Danny's AT was amazing and one of the best dances I've seen for a long time on strictly. And I'm not delusional. It's just my opinion. Why do you have to get so personal?
Dannys AT was much better than Louises. Should ave scored a 40. None of Louises dances so far are worthy of a 10.

I did not like that Paso at all, it seemed frantic to me. If anything, I thought it was overmarked. Based on impression, not on quality of the dance. Most dances felt lost on that big floor though. You need something big like Anita and Gleb did last year.

How on earth can 38/40 be under marked? It wasn't perfect and didn't deserve a 40. If you just mean relative to others, that's slightly different as I didn't think Danny was perfect and deserving of a 40 either. I think they have just started scoring high far too early in this series. They have nowhere to go anymore. A 40 used to really mean something special; now not so much.

It was only undermarked in comparison with Claudia's jive. That overmarking of the first dance left the judges with no leeway. You could argue that if each judge had been scrupulously fair, Louise and Ore should both have got 4x10, but then they would have needed an 11 for Danny.

True

Poor Louise looked terrified and barely carried it off.

Louise dances very well and she very rarely makes mistakes. However, all her dances lack the 'wow' factor. I know not many people think very highly of Ore but even with mistakes he shows more personality. Danny shows more personality and sometimes IMO he is not as polished as Louise.

Me too. None of her dances are worthy of a 10. She is nowhere near as good as Danny.

She's too much of a wet hen to do a convincing Paso.

I was there in the audience and it was the dance of the night. You heard the audience reaction to the 2 9s, we were shocked. I must say that it didn't come across as well on the telly, as I've watched it 3 times since I got home.

That's really interesting - it did seem last night that the judges were marking based on something completely different from what we TV viewers were seeing, especially in the case of Louise and Claudia.

I think they were lucky to get 9s, let alone 10s!

I agree Gill - I didn't find their Paso strong enough - IN MY OPINION Kevins best Paso was with Susanna which was fiery and dramatic as was Anitas and Glebs, last year. Louise is a lovely dancer but the Paso was not her dance
Likewise last night Claudias Jive was not worthy of 9 x 4 - I did not see how their Jive merited such a high score.
As already mentioned some posts back - the judges started with scores that were too high and left themselves with little room to go higher for more WOW and better dance performances.

The production, costumes and music were dramatic and I bet to have seen that in the audience would have been impressive.

However, in my opinion the dancing seemed to be overshadowed by the production. I think a balance in composition is important and I personally would have liked to have seen her dance more. It was good.. but I think 38 was generous. Having said that she did deserve to be second on the leaderboard.

Thought the mark was about right. I'd personally have given it a 10 but it was just behind Danny and Oti so 38 was a fair score

Just that really.

I thought her Paso was the strongest dance of the night, but she only got two 10's. Infinitely better than Ore's and on a par with Danny for sure.

The marking was a mess tonight.
I don't think she was overmarked, I don't think it deserved two 10s, I'd have given it a 9. She had some great shaping at times, others she looked like she was being thrown around the dance floor.
The arrogant attitude of the Paso was also missing but it was a superb spectacle and that garnered a lot of positivity.

However, in terms of where she ended up on the leaderboard, then second was correct.

I think this series the marks have been so much higher undeservedly than in previous years. I've been waiting for the Judges to get real with their scoring but so far they haven't. As always they all have their favourites that they mark higher LOuise is a definite favourite who is over marked every week.
