I'll get the easy one out of the way first: Ed only has one latin left, the Rumba, so he must be doing that in the semi-final and have ballroom both this week and next.

As this week also sees the Cha-Cha-Challenge, my first thought was that they might want to avoid having anyone do the Salsa or Samba as it'd possibly be too samey. However, Louise and Danny both have yet to do either and everyone else has one or the other yet to do, so maybe not.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let Danny & Oti get a samba or a salsa. Danny working those hips will be a treat, he will be great.

I'm guessing most of the pros will try to avoid the Samba. I suspect there'll be at least one Argentine Tango next week (my money would be on Ore & Joanne if they get through), and there must be a Foxtrot and ballroom Tango as well given how many people have still to do them!

I hope it'll be a ballroom-heavy main show given there's also the Cha Cha Challenge.

Claudia won't be given either the AT or the Rumba. Quickstep?

Danny's the only one not to have done the American Smooth yet so I think that's highly likely for him.

Ed for a comedy Tango.

Greg's the only one not to have done the Charleston.

Of the dances Judge Rinder has left I'd actually like to see an Argentine Tango. Yes, I know, but I think he and Oksana could make something interesting of it.

Not excited about any of the dances left for Louise or Ore.

There have been a distinct lack of Sambas this year, which is a shame, it's my favourite dance. I hope we see some this week given most of them have it left.

Difficult week this one, there's still a lot of ATs, Tangos and Sambas so it depends on whether the producers want to put 2 of one dance in. Assuming they don't, I've gone with:

Seems this years order of dances has been a mess, hardly any Tango's or Sambas and suddenly we have a glut of them towards the end of the competition, hopefully we will see another few AT's which seems to have tailed off in previous series, if I remember rightly in the year Abbey won we only saw one from Sophie which was pretty mediocre and the dire MJ one from Susanna?

Natalie also did one in the semis that was pretty good.

Interesting but largely useless fact: apart from Ed, the only other remaining couple that Rinder has ever been ahead of on the leaderboard is Danny.

I thought Ed would have the tango if he got through. Of all the dances he has left, it is the one where he can give most character and performance.
