Anyone else not liking Louise' dancing?
I don't know, something about her leaves me cold after her performances. The judges rave how amazing she is but I find her dancing passionless and lack of personality. I am sure she is a nice lady but not doing anything for me to be honest

I like Louise's dancing.
It's nice. All her steps are in the right order and done correctly. She's a nice lady. I feel mildly smiley when I watch her dance. |

It is very paint by numbers dancing. Kevin is coming up with characters for her,she is doing the steps and that is it. I don't think she is bothered about getting eliminated, for a singer she doesn't seem to have any emotional response to the music ,it is all a bit meh.

Louise and Kevin are my faves and I WANT THEM TO WIN!
![]() But this week watching that paso live on tv was alittle underwhelming. Looked like a rag being dragged about the place... no passion or drama! Then watching it back on Youtube I was surprised to see how good it actually was... strange one for sure Felt the same about her Cha Cha Cha too.I hope they have the Waltz next week, a lovely calming dance with gliding movement across the floor - A beautiful frock and story to go with it! just delicious! ![]() If it's the Samba or Salsa... *gulp* I'm prepared to say she could be in the DO for either as some Latin dances just don't suit certain people... Kelly was great at both those last year as she has the same cheese-tsatic smiley personality as Kevin... Louise not so much. She is a classy lady & ballroom girl! |

She has beautiful eyes, but tends to look down too much, thus losing connection with the audience I think.
Check it out. That's how it seems to me anyway? |

I think it's her speed - it is just too slow and she can't show connectedness with the character in the dance.
Tonight's routine was great - bar Louise's part in it. She did the movements ok, lacking in shape and dramatism, but the facial expressions were totally off. Her Argentine tango was her best performance so far. When I watch her I get the idea that she just can't let herself loose - she is thinking too much of other things - maybe how she would look to her family and friends. And I think she just has to becme the dance character to perform it right. Movement-wise she's fine, it's the little fine tuning as the strain of body and agression, sharpness of lines, that she lacked. |

Louise is a very nice dancer but to be the best dancer in this competition she needs to act out the character of the dance. That's what the other contenders are going to do.

Agree about Kelly. Her and Kevin seemed to really suit each other. I do think Kevin is a very good choreographer but I do wonder if Kevin should have had another Kellie type partner

I'd like to see what Kevin could do with a bad dancer.

I like her, but by goodness she needs theming and big production and gimmickry to pull her up the level of being interesting. God knows how she would have managed before Series 8.

For me she is the most stylish and classy dancer since Denise Van Outen. After all, this is supposed to be a dance contest, not the X Factor.

I thought she had improved and become a bit more outgoing over the last couple of weeks but last night was a step backwards IMHO

I was disappointed (for Louise- who I think is a lovely genuine lady) tonight. She came alive last week in the Tango and I was blown away. But tonight there was not enough punch or dram, not enough sharpness of direction, and way too much smiling for the paso. NO more than a 7, and in danger I fear.

From what we hear her say in training and on ITT, Louise seems to lack the self-confidence to just give herself to the dance. She often talks about feeling stupid trying to pfoject this or that emotion, or being worried how things will look. She said this week she was trying not to "hold back".
All this means to me that, though her dancing is accomplished, it lacks the sparkle of performance. |

I don't think Louise has a strong personality (or shows any 'passion' which is an over-used word but relevant in a performance) on which she can draw to memorably 'project' a dance. I don't think she has much confidence generally and that shows in her inability to stop thinking and looking down at her feet... and just dance. Last night the dress wore the dancer, if you see what I mean.
It's a shame she and Rob Rinder can't trade some of their characteristics so he'd tone down the gurning and she'd up her facial engagement in the dances. I don't mind her but I think she'd be a very meh winner. |
